S.H.Figuarts MMPR Red and Green Officially Revealed!!!!
 

It’s finally here! S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger and Red Ranger (Zyurangers' Dragon Ranger and Tyranno Ranger) first seen during Tamashi Nations 2012 are now up for pre-order!

And they’ll be arriving much sooner then we think: Red will be shipping in August while Green will be coming in July.

Both Figuarts will retail for $41.95, Red will come with his Power Sword Gun in both sword and Gun modes and a Power Sword, while Green will include his signature Dragon Dagger and Sword of Darkness

I want these. If I had to get another Sentai figuart (besides the Akibarangers (probably season 2 AkibaBlue in place of the original) and GokaiGreen (well just for Navi :lol)) it'd be these two.

So the US release is coming first then? Not calling them by their real names?

Though the US release of the Green Ranger is flawed - it should have a cloth dragon armor piece instead of that plastic one. :P

Too bad we'll never get an in-scale, articulated Megazord and Dragonzord.

Maybe we'll get an SRC Dragon Caesar to pair with Daizyuzin?

No removable shield. Called it.

I'm glad they even packed in the other blaster that the MMPR used in one episode.Haven't watched Zyuranger,so maybe it was featured more there.I know it's one kinda forgettable accessory,but I was kinda hesitant on getting the US version if the Zyuranger release would have probably come with it.

These 2 are definite buys for me.I do wish that Red came with another set of Dragon Armor,but I'm willing to bet they're waiting to pull that out as an SDCC exclusive maybe with metallic paint to at least it make it somewhat different...And now I'm probably $50 in the hole just for saying that.

Please let them do the other rangers.

Where do you see that? To be honest, that would be awesome as I hate the shields that come off since they never stay attached anyway.

They used them a couple of times in Zyu.

That would work for me. I really have no interest in getting a red with a shield.

What are the chances that the Japanese versions will have more accessories? That Dragon Ranger seems a bit empty accessory-wise...

It looks they're coming with every thing that's pertinent. I'd say they're won't be anything additional with the JP releases but i could be wrong.

Considering Tyranno Ranger comes with the thunderslinger, which was only really prominent in Zyuranger, I'd doubt it. What else would they come with?

However, these guys are most likely being released to go alongside Akibaranger in Japan, so there's a good chance the Japanese releases will have an extra weapon accessory like Red Hawk, Bouken Red and Deka Red did. It's only speculation, but that's most likely the reason there haven't been any Sentai figures announced this year yet. Tyranno and Dragon Ranger play too well into the parody aspect for it to be a coincidence.

I doubt akibaranger is the reason. We've known these were coming since Tamashi Nations last year.

We saw the Dekarangers and Boukenger team long before Akibaranger aired too.

Akibaranger will probably do at least one episode parodying the whole "extra ranger" thing and Dragon Ranger/Burai and Geki's rivalry is pretty much the quint-essential extra ranger story. It fits too perfectly for it to be a coincidence, especially if Japan isn't getting these two until slightly later, which just so happens to fit in with Akibarangers schedule.

There might not be any extra weapons, even if that is the case. I'm just saying it's a possibility.

I don't think for a second that these are coming out because of Akibaranger.

But I did start to think myself - especially after the American release packaging was revealed - how they would be sold in Japan. And I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't with an Akibaranger accessory. Every Sentai release last year unrelated to Go-Busters had one after all, right?

It would explain why Green is going to be released first…I thought that part in of it self was a bit odd.

Since I am collecting every red ranger from now on, these two will be mine. The only question is whether I want to wait for the japanese version or not.

If they are Akiba related, unless the Akiba accessory is the Howling Cannon, there isn't much incentive for me to wait.

God I hope they come with Akiba parts. I'll have to skip the neutered Bluefin release if they do but oh well. Man the mere speculation of these having Akibaranger parts has me more excited than anything else now :lol

I am not a fan of MMPR. However, the designs aren't bad, and it would appear that I am a complete sucker when it comes to Figuarts. I just got DekaRed today (for the Akibarangers accessory), haven't opened it yet, and I am already contemplating getting the rest of the team.
So, yeah, I'll get these guys, no question.

This is my thinking. I genuinely like the Green design though. But I will wait for US retail so I can support getting more Figuarts in the US.

I have zero patience. The second I see one for sale , it will be mine. American or Japanese release , it doesn't matter.

I just really hope they make the whole team. If bandai can freaking make 2 versions of Akiba Blue & Yellow , then they can make the rest of the Power Rangers. Not having a Zack in my collection in figuart form will make this man sad.

Hmm, if they're July/August in the US I wonder if that means they're June/July in Japan. Given that I'm still expecting the Akibarangers to go up in a June/July/August pattern again (and last year they went up later than the usual June releases too) that kind of fits. Time will tell I guess, it seems a no brainer for Akibaranger to parody.

Eitherway, I'm buying the hell out of these two.

Anyway, I'll just get the US release. I see no reason to go importing them from Japan when Amazon will just do fine. Packaging is not an issue for me since I'm not going to be keeping them MIB anyway.

I definitely want Green Ranger. Red Ranger, eh, if I can get him for a good price, but I am not a fan of the character.

If the rest of the MMPR/Zyuranger got made, I would definitely get Yellow Ranger, who has been a favorite of mine for years. Pass on Blue and Pink (again, unless I can get them for a steal). Black would be a tough decision.

As cool as it would be to have the entire team that is money I do not want to spend at this point in my life, heh.

EDIT: Any chance of a Rita/Bandora? Or Goldar/Griffizor? :D

Definitely getting both.

I doubt we'll see Bandora, the only "human" figures they've done are anime faced ones and I'm not sure that would fit for her. I think a lot of people would love Grifforzer though.
