So after the revelation of Kyoryu Cyan and the confirmation of quite a few more mecha to come I think it's time we look at the info we have and try to figure how many heroes there'll be in this show.

If you weren't paying attention to Brave 1 you could have missed this shot very easily.

That's the holder for all of the Zyudenchi (beast batteries). The slots are all numbered and color coded for each unique Kyoryuger. AND for each unique Zyudenryu. For each ranger here we have a corresponding slot associated with their mecha. Notice that slot one is full because Daigo has not become a full Kyoryuger yet. The others however are all empty. Obviously 1-5 (Red, Black, Blue, Green, & Pink) are the main five heroes. We already know that Gold is coming which means slot 6 is his and we know about Cyan which is most definitely slot 7. We also know that Slot 6 & 7 represent not only 2 more Kyoryugers but their corresponding mecha as well. PteraidenOh and Akyodon.

Extending this logic further to slots 8-10 I think it's safe to say we will be seeing at least 3 more heroes past the appearance of Gold and Cyan as well as at least 3 more mecha to accompany those slots. #8 (gray black) is most definitely the upcoming Bunpachi, #9 is violet & #10 is Silver both with unrevealed mecha to accompany them. But again the logic of this is sound. Based on the other 7 slots why would there be 3 more unique slots like that if they weren't for additional rangers/mecha?

The 3rd tier gives us 5 slots, all marked yellow #11. Don't be thrown off by this though. Slot 11 is for the Dino Chaser which is accessible to all 5 main Kyoryugers. That's why they're 5 of them with one battery each. This will come into play in episode 3 actually.

This is the second battery holder. Notice that this contains batteries #12-23. This caps off the original rumored list of 23 Zyudenchi we heard about before the series began. It should also be noted that these trays are much smaller than the the first 10 seen in the initial shot. They are similar in size to the Dino Chaser trays and only contain one battery each. Most likely because these batteries DO NOT correspond to unique rangers but rather they will be additional mecha for the Kyoryugers based on colors already associated with the 10 we started with. These slots use varying shades of the colors the first 10 slots/rangers use. I think it's safe to assume that #12-23represent additional mecha for each ranger.



Based on all of this I think we can safely say that there will be a grand total of 10 Kyoryugers. If only in cameos to provide power-ups like Cyan. But there will be at least that many.

Solid. I actually did catch that, but I didn't pay it any mind. Interesting.
However, there is a large problem with 10 rangers, and that's character. We'll either end up like Deka, where Rangers would appear once and then vanish completely, or we'll end up with rangers fighting each other for screen time, and everyone loses because of that.

Yes, the role call will be cool with 10 rangers, but that novelty wears off 2 episodes later, and then we'll have bland nobodies like Tetsu.

Well according to some new info posted at AplhaHeroShock a magazine scan has just revealed that Ramirez (Cyan) will be around for a 2 episode arc to convince Akyodon to help the Kyoryugers. So I'd say all of them will be that way, but I still love the idea of 10 rangers
Hopefully. After the way the production staff took such a sexist view on power = man I was hoping there'd be at one or two more women. They've written Pink very well as a strong and independent woman so I hope that character trait continues if they bring more women in.

You and me both. Wouldn't it be cool if the most powerful Kyoryuger was a woman instead of a man? I highly doubt it'll happen, but we can dream, now can we?

If I must offer a guess to this 10 Ranger theory I'd say that we'll get 6 main Rangers and the other four will rotate as the story allows them to.

Still we at least one more female Ranger here.

I'd say Violet/Purple will definitely be female. Silver and Gray will be dudes though.

Be nice if we got an even 50/50 on Female to Male Kyos. Not that it'll happen, but it'd be nice.

With 10 possible rangers, I'd say a 1:1 gender ratio could be possible. Yeah, it'd be kind of odd having 4 additional female rangers as opposed to 1 male, but it's not impossible.

That'd be nice. But.. knowing Toei, and that outright offensive defense of no Yellow? .. I think we're looking at two, maybe three, more female Kyo's.

I'd say with about 95% certainty we're looking a one more female in Violet. But that color is just ambiguous enough that they could go male with it. Gray is more of a sure thing for male. Silver it a tossup though. I could see silver going either way.

Considering the only other violets were male (That being GekiViolet and, should Shockercon be believed, Wolzard), and taking their Yellow statement into mind, KyoryuViolet isn't set as female, and actually has a greater chance at being male.

Wolzard doesn't count, he wasn't a sixth.

Wolzard was an other, so was Magishine. If there was any real 6th ranger it was MagiMother/White Ranger.

No Shine most definitely fills the role of 6th in Magiranger. Mother was so infrequently used that she's like Dekamaster, an extra ranger.

Yet! Shine was one of the Other Rangers used by Basco.

He was one of the Sixths used against Marvelous and the others. Basco used Wolzard Fire and MagiMother after Gai joined the team, along with SignalMan, DekaMaster, DekaSwan, Rio, Mele, Zuuban, and Hime ShinkenRed- the Other/Extra Hero Keys.

Edit: And Den-O, we kinda already know what #9 and #10 of the Zyudenryu are:
9 – Plesion (Plesiosaurus)
10 – Bragigas (Brachiosaurus)

Okay. And your point? He's the 6th ranger, there's no question about it. And he's on Silvers Gokai Cellular too, which is all about 6th rangers. That's if you need some Gokaiger evidence

Yeah but there was no confirmation previously that they would have mecha until today.

I didn't list number or status, just color.

Was KabutoRanger red? Yes? Then he was a red ranger.
Was Dekamaster black? Yes? Then he was a black ranger.

Their status may fall under "Extra", "Sixth", or "Other hero", but they were transforming characters into a suit of a specific color. :I

Yet you people count Gosei Knight as a sixth.

Well he is the 6th ranger of the team dude. You seem to base most of what you know for ranger classifications on Gaokaiger like alot of people. I'll direct you again to the Gokai Cellular which uses 6th rangers. Gosei Knight is there.

He transforms from a header into a suit of a specific color.

Please help my poor math, but that means that aside from the six Rangers, there are 4 auxiliaries, namely Ankydon, Bunpachy, Pleson and Bragigas?

Yup! Akyodon and Bunpahcy are new arm but Plesion will form a back mask and shoes for Kyoryujin and Bragigas will be a giant carrier as seen in those "leaked" mech sketches from last month.

My wallet just cried out in pain and the thought of all of this being real :D

Hope this is true.

Ebikawa Kenji (Go-on Black) and Shibue Jouji (Ibuki) will be appearing in Kyoryuger.

Anybody else think some of these toku alums could be the final couple of Kyoryugers?

I used Bing Images to try and find pics of Kyoryu Carnival Red.. and saw one where he has Stegochi and Tricera on his arms.

When is that happening?!
