Power Rangers Megaforce Ep 5: United We Stand Discussion
United we Stand! Discuss!
(I win this round, Kickback! I WIN!) |
Great episode, showed off pink and yellows friendship and it set up a sort of mystery around Vark
|
The spell scenes weren't all that good. The monster design was good, but not as good as the others. The shut your mouth comment was funny. The Sky Megazord was awesome. 4/5.

Let me guess , we didn't see that tool from last week at all. Did we?
|
Kinda liked the Beetle Borg refrences.
|
Vrax/Brajira's voice couldn't have been more perfect if they tried. And that goes for everyone else to, Malkor, Creepox, everyone right down to Zordo-Gosei.
And I think Emma called them the Skyick Zords when she called them for the first time, which is also awesome. Was kind of weird seeing Troy do that little Alata fist-pump though. But no weirder than Mystic Red doing that squat dance in the one episode. All in all I liked this episode. I didn't think it was the best one so far, but it wasn't horrible by any means. I am loving this season. .. I also didn't get the beetleborg references, what beetleborg references? 4/5 |
i really liked the episode i do like how they incorporated Brajira second form as a battle form for Vrak give it a nice twist to the footage.
script sound rush a bit mainly due to how goseiger had pink and yellow work and then ned to fit round that some how. all on all now is tensous big moment episode on becoming datas. |
i cant rember sky zord hedder names

Not a bad. Despite the fact that it focused on Emma and Gia, I feel like I learned very little about them, other than that they're friends. We kind of already knew that without an entire episode dedicated to reinforcing that.
One thing that stuck out to me, once again, Gia was really mean to Jake. I don't think I ever remember another Ranger acting like that towards a comrade. Sure, Jake flirts a lot, he's definitely nice to Gia in the process, and it couldn't be more obvious that he likes her. Yet it seems like she hits him with a real zinger every time he opens his mouth. It's kind of funny, but it's just strange to see, considering Power Rangers are generally role models of good character. I know we've been over the card issue before, but I couldn't believe the cards said not skyick, but skick on them. It just looks and sounds so dumb. It seems like somebody could have spent 5 minutes with Photoshop or whatever they use and made the text on the card not look completely stupid. But oh well. On the bright side, I like that MegaForce seems to depart from the usual Power Rangers script pretty often. Rather than some seasons where every episode has some common elements, I feel like I never know what's going to happen next. It's not always the same where a monster shows up and the rangers fight it 5 on 1 until it gets big and they bust out the megazord. In this episode, for a while I honestly didn't know how the Rangers were going to win. That really keeps the show interesting despite a cast of characters that I don't really care for. |
._. So, i'm going to finally state this, instead of my most common bitching...
Oh my god the female cast rangers are hot. Emma especially. So, that awkwardness out of the way: -insert rant- |
Just watched it on Hulu. Dear lord, the bee woman's voice over was painful. The ADR was pretty weak all around, but the MotW... ouch.

I just watched the episode. I'm pretty sure I like it. There are awkward bits here and there, and it felt a bit rushed, but the good parts were enough to compensate for them. Although did anyone else notice Noah's expression when Gia leaped into the air to save them? I don't know, it seemed a bit... PG-13. Come to think of it, there were a lot of moments like that. I don't know, maybe it's the brainwashing you people have given me :p. I really did like that moment in the cockpit when Troy interrupted Emma and Gia's speech.

Either that or it's because you're a wizard. |

Example: When Gia said to Jake "I don't want just anyone to see my morpher" Regardless if my mind is in the gutter or not, that's a double entendre if I ever heard one. There are so many better ways that line could have been written. |

It was a good episode and these teenagers are actually acting like kids their age. They are in high school after all. I love it! It doesn't feel cheesy. I think it is appropriate to their age group and it doesn't feel dumbed down but light hearted. So far I'm steadily enjoying this season. :)
|
I definitely lol'd when Troy interrupted the girls in the megazord cockpit! :D

Maybe it's our minds making us think this season is more PG-13 than the past 19. Oh and the Beezara/Irian of the Queen Bee costume always looked more like a mosquito than a bee IMO. |
I'm suddenly remembering Necrolai and her dissapearing/reappearing nipples.

I'm glad someone's really enjoying this show. I want to like it, but it just feels pretty blah to me. (Kind of like Goseiger did.) It needs a running sub-plot of some kind. We got that a little bit with Vrak this episode I guess.
|
Meh, I don't know if its just because I'm really tired but this was a pretty average episode outside of Vrak being a badass at the beginning. Gia's acting really bugged me in this too - she couldn't pull off any sort of facial expression without looking slightly pissed off about something. And this was before they were poisoned.
Still, its above the average Samurai episode I guess. Quote:

I actually didn't like this episode (just watched it last night). The "we're best friends" theme felt really forced throughout the episode IMO. It's not with out it's good parts though: I liked Troy actually being, you know, human and the parts with the guys as drones was actually pretty funny. Overall I felt this was the weakest episode thus far. However, if this is as bad as this show gets then it's gonna be one heck of a series!

while i enjoyed this episode its really beginning to rub me wrong that the team never ends up in the command center and and therefore dont interact with gosei in person. tensou has therefore become completely worthless
|
This was the one where they get the fish head upgrades, right?
