That is a whole lot of dinos. Funny though, I only count 19 and I don't see Kyoryu Gold's Dino either.

Taking a good look at the HD pic you can see several smaller dinos in the front row. I think this is the first look that we're getting of the Yellow and Black bikes in dino modes.

As for the rest, this toy line is going to be crazy. Here's hoping all the zords combine into one giant dino.

Seeing a guy who's supposed to be serious samba before transforming is kinda disturbing. And the Sim ha ha was annoying.

Green's sword style has been bugging me for a while so after a bit a searching there is an actual technique which has the wielder holding the katana with the blade running along the arm. It called “Zatoichi style” or reverse grip. The style is named after the long running Zatoichi series of books and films but was normally called 'reverse grip'. There are a few benefits to using this style: 1: It is excellent for closed in spaces. 2) It is faster than using a normal grip. 3) It is used to immediately follow up a disarming move (where your sword would end up in this grip naturally due to the disarming technique).

Kyoryu Green definitely has an interesting fighting style. Its nice to watch. I had to laugh with Kyoryu Red using a gun in a sword fight. And when Daigo offered Souji a hug I thought "I bet he would prefer Amy to give him a hug!" and what do you know, she did give him a hug.

That was an exciting episode, with some of the most impressive sword fights since Shinkenger and Gokaiger.

Just watched it this morning.
Was pretty fun. There wasn't much going for it (It went way too quickly. Green gave his identity away at the drop of a hat, his father accepted him before I even knew what, and other minor pacing issues).

I think the largest problem for Kyoryu is that it's doing things too quickly. It's moments like this episode and episode 2 that I wish it adopted KR's 2 episode plot. Yes, that'd mean we wouldn't get to know all the rangers by episode 4, but it also means we'd have much better told stories for them.

I kind of agree with you. This week wasn't as bad as last week in terms of pacing, but it's still going really fast. I'm inclined to suspect it's at least partially a reaction to Go-Busters, where you could have a good month or two of episodes where nothing happened.

I recall the single for the OP and ED comes out March 13.

I don't think this episode had any pacing problems. I thought it was fine.

The best part about this episode though? Takayoshi Tanimoto sang the fight song. Woooooot!

I agree that the ep went quickly but I'm glad that these figure few eps are fast. I gets the boring character introductions out of the way. My hope is that after the first 10 eps we show down just a tad so there can be some real development. But I hope it doesn't slow down to KR Wizard levels.

We're 3 weeks in and that music on a constant loop is really beginning to grate on me now. I have a feeling this is going to be a sore point for me for the next year.

Other than that I thought this was a great episode. The sword choreography was excellent, and I really like a main character having parental issues as part of their introduction rather than it be a filler-episode midway through the series.

I'm never a big fan of when four team members are operating a three-piece combination though. I guess it gets rid of the issue of where the hell they go during the mecha fights but it still doesn't work for me.

Loved it. Mostly because it means next week is Candi's time to shine, in all her smiling psychodelic glory! And because it was another great episode. Even if it was another Sentai "Father accepts you" storyline.

Yup...I think Blade Hero is my next favorite green ranger :D

Ahhhh another great episode! This one felt just a tad rushed but it was still great. Deinochaser of course was awesome, Green actually proved to have far more character than I expected him too. I really thought he'd be the bland archetype character of the crew but his backstory (while recycled) was good.

Loved the cooky Deibo Monster this week too. Am I the only one who though he looked like a Marshal Law wannabee? :lol

I liked how not even the Deinochaser wasn't willing to put up with Blue's crappy puns :lol

Yeah I like how they're living machines…although that makes the way they combine even more eyebrow raising…I mean…you have to wonder if they feel it when they connect:lol

This episode was very well done and it was nice to have an episode not feel rushed. I do wonder what the point of pink being in Kyoryujin was though when green was in there. However, was Souji's father played by the creator of the Artificial Undeads in Blade? I cannot think of his name suddenly, but I'm pretty sure that was him. Anyway, I am glad they are taking their time getting the rangers to be a full team. I really hope black just doesn't suddenly have this change of heart after the next episode and that it takes him several more before he fully joins them. I really enjoy series like Zyu, Dai, and Jet where it takes the rangers a bit to warm up to each other and learn how to work as a team. We haven't had something like that occur in a long ass time.

Actually no. Greens father was actually the actor who played both Goggle Black in Goggle-V and Dyna Black in Dynaman.

Are you sure? He looks like Shiori Hirose's father.

He can have been in more than one tokusatsu role/franchise dude :lol His first couple of gigs in toku were Goggle-V and Dynaman but yes he did eventually play that character in Blade, and he was in Juspion, the Go-Onger movie, Jiraya, Cybercop, Solbrain, Exceedraft, and much more. He's got about as much toku acting cred as you can get. Right up there with Nao Nagasawa.

It probably doesn't help that you began your first response with "Actually no" :p

Anyway, while the series is definitely kid orientated, I'm glad it's not taking cliched plot elements and playing them straight. Keeps things interesting.

Sorry, I only know a few toku actors by name, and most of them really depend as to whether or not they were in anime series I like. It also doesn't help that for this guy, I have not seen anything you listed except Blade.

Well, in Hurricanger and the cameo in Gokaiger, she was Nanami Nono aka Hurricane Blue, Lily Shirogane in Kamen Rider Double, Haruka Utsugi in Kamen Rider Fourze, and she had other roles out there.

Yup, like Daimajin Kanon and Tomica Hero Rescue Force.

Still loving this show.I'll agree that the characters aren't getting enough time to develop in these episodes,but it's better they get the intros out of the way fast.As much I love Fourze,each member of the Rider Club got 2-episode arcs to themselves and that took up a quarter of the series.I imagine Kyoryuger is gonna spread the Rangers' development more throughout the show.

The edited down Kyoryujin transformation is better,but the combining could be sped up a wee bit.Souji's fighting style is pretty cool,I love Sakamoto's affinity for out-of-suit fights and I imagine we'll get some more great ones.

From the looks of the preview,Ian's gonna be joining up pretty quickly.I was kinda hoping he might be the one who was gonna need some more time to actually join the team.Whatever though,I've been pretty happy with the decisions they've made so far.I don't think this show's gonna disappoint me any time soon.

Loved this episode, it's funny how I initially thought Green was going to be the goofy one based on the initial pictures. His fighting style is awesome and I think he's going to be a favorite of mine soon.

I don't think there's a single character that I'm indifferent to yet, which is pretty cool for Super Sentai. I still haven't seen much from Ian Yorkland so we'll see how that goes next week.

And though this is the second time we see it, I just love the mecha combination. All that puppetry is just wonderful.

As for pacing, I love that it's a very quick show. As a rule, I love shows that are fast-paced. For example, I loved Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith even though people complained they were too fast paced. The only possible danger is filling up all that time saved from being fast paced with filler episodes, but I hope Kyoryuger knows what its doing.

I love, love, love this show! Can't wait for episode 3!

But that is one of the best things about Fourze. They took their time to introduce all of the characters, and when you have a series that is 50 episodes, that is how it should be done. There is no reason to have every main character introduced by episode 4 in a year long show. It then makes the writers have to strain for ideas later on, or in the case of certain other shows (that will go unnamed), they end up giving you 7 clip shows during its run and then have to release the full finale on video.
