Gremlin and Weretiger have Shunpei captive and won't give him back without getting Toshie in exchange!

Making matters worse she's perfectly willing to go though with this, even if she knows she might die doing this.

Beast is suffering due to all of this. Will he grow into a true hero and save them both or will despair strike down his hopes?

Could Beast Hyper turn the tide of battle? If it shows up at all during the episode?

It's not the best summery I've written. However it's serviceable. Still, of all the plotlines for this show to do right now with a grandmother running the risk of dying right after I lost one of mine.

For a show about hope it does like to be depressing as all get out more often than not. I'm hoping that this will be resolved in a cheerful manner. I don't think I can take a tragic death right now.

Still need to get around to watching last week's episode. Looking forward to possibly maybe seeing Beast Hyper appear though :D

Actually, rumor going around that Beast Hyper will appear in Episode 29. And seeing that he isn't in the March Edition of Televi-Magazine and Televi-Kun, but is featured on the April Edition, it's more likely that he won't appear until then.

EDIT: Also, the website hasn't been updated with Beast Hyper on Beast's page, so it isn't gonna be in this episode.

Having once seen a preview for an episode of Ryuki that showed Tiger, only for Tiger's appearance in the actual episode to be pointless, uneventful, and having no bearing on the plot, I like to think that I know, if a new form is to show up, we'd see it in the episode preview.

Just gotta say, Beast's Kick Strike. Completely worth the wait.

Beast kick strike was pretty wicked. All around good episode. Your usual my family member now accepts me/ I accept them episode but still well done. I actually thought for a minute they'd let Oba-Chan become a phantom. It'd be a nice change of pace from Haruto and Nito always stopping them before a new one is created. Statistically the bad guys have to win at least once at some point. Right?

Yeah, but I don't think the Toei of today would be comfortable with showing a person dying after the hero failed to save them. Granted, people did become Orphenoch's in Kamen Rider 555, but I don't think it was because of Takumi failing to save them.

Very fun episode. Kousuke is really growing on me as a character and I love the way he and Haruto play off of each other. Actually, I'm getting to the point where I really like all of the characters, even Shunpei (kinda). Haruto, in particular, is really coming into his own as a great main Rider.

Kamen Rider was a lot darker back then, though. Since Decade it's very, very rare that we see a monster actually kill someone.

That's why I said the Toei of today. The Toei of yesterday had the monsters reduced to a puddle of blood.

Man, the Toei of just five years ago had monsters turn people into transparent husks of drained energy. I kinda miss the real horror angle that the shows used to have - some of the ways the Lords in Agito killed people still creep me out to this day.

Lords are still the creepiest and most brutal killers. But it gave the shows an extra degree of suspense when the villains were ruthless and the bystanders didn't make it. It feels like that's been missing from the last several years of riders.

Beast Kick Strike (which I'm calling Beast Lunch Strike) was pretty bad ass.

But Wizard continues to bore me. I don't care about the Rider, none of the side characters are all that interesting and the villains are boring. Maybe it's just me but it doesn't feel like anything has actually happened for most of the series.

I'll agree that a huge portion of these first 25 episodes haven't felt necessary. Quite a few of them didn't really advance the plot and weren't particularly meaningful. But I think I felt the same way around this point during Fourze as well. The last 4 or 5 Wizard episodes have really picked up the pace and I think we're in for a good couple of arcs coming up.

Liked the episode. Was this the first time Wizard and Beast willingly worked together? That dual henshin was pretty cool.

Overall I liked it. I loved the trick they played on Gremlin at first but in retrospect it relied on a heretofore unknown power to work(at least as far as I recall... that wasn't one of Beast's normal powers with Falco was it?). But it worked at the time.

Looking forward to Medusa's origin next week.

Watching Wizard alongside Ryuki is pretty jarring tbqh. They really pushed the envelope back then. Was almost hoping this episode was gonna take that dark of a turn honestly.

Grandma dying would probably mean both Nitou and Haruto are gonna fall into despair and the show would end. So I wasn't expecting anything anyway

I really enjoyed this one.The thought of a character losing a family member pulls at my heart strings,so I can relate to what Kousuke went through.Just a really heartwarming episode.

It's so cool that we're seeing more of what the Beast Rings do with the Wizard Driver.I'm really interested to see what Buffa and Chameleo do.Beast's Kick Strike was so cool,the lion(Beast) going through the rings of fire was such a nice touch.

I'm wondering what's gonna happen next story-wise.Wizard's all Dragon-ed up now,Phoenix is perpetually dying in the sun and Gremlin's doing his thing.We need some more plot movement,we're already halfway through the show and Wiseman hasn't done much and we still don't know what the Sabbath is.

I was wondering what ring Nitou used. So that was Falco with Haruto's mana? It was a cool power. Really touching episode this one. Now for Medusa's back story, bring it on.

I guess he put on Falco and scan it on the Wizard Driver.

Finally got around to watching it.

Beast breaking Weretiger's spine was awesome, Beast's kick strike was awesome, and I really liked the plot of this episode.

That said, but...Not much has happened. Beast's arrival and Phoenix's "Death" has been the only major plot events that has gone on in the time span of half a series.

I don't know how well it says for a character when my first thought when seeing next week's preview was "Please god tell me they're going to kill Medusa!"

Medusa is such a weak enemy general character. She just lacks the screen presence and power needed to really keep that role going. I hope we get rid of her to get a potentially more interesting character to fill the role or at least force Wiseman to step up and do something.

That being said, the backstory she has as reported in all the magazine scans is just what the story needs. give Haruto a swift kick into possibly some actual character drama and development Cannot wait.

Yeah, this episode has pretty much cemented Beast as my favourite character in the show.

Awesome kick strike was awesome.

I am essentially of the same opinion as everyone else.

Overall thus far? Show is pretty bland, like a plain doughnut -rimshot-
When your backup rider outshines you in every way possible, you may have problems.

Because essentially at this point? Haruto could die, despair, evolve into a monster... I still wouldn't care.

They honestly have written in it such a way, that I really do believe the show was supposed to be about beast, but there where some creative differences at the begining or something.

Either way as this episode stands: 3/5. It tugs some hearstrings for Beast, but the status quo? Isn't even nicked.

This episode was good. Really nice. I was surprised.

OMG, we watched 24 and 25 today and the Magical Girl bit was absolutely amazing. That is by far one of the best moments of almost any Kamen Rider series.

As for this episode, the scene when Medusa went out pissed on Gremlin was pretty badass.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if the battle music that played when Haruto was battling Gremlin is on any of the soundtracks? I really love that track.
