1. Debo Doronbosu Appears! 2. Playboy Ian Yorkland- What Happened In His Past? 3. Daigo Has To Help Him Out! 4. The First Full Team Transformation! 5. GABURINCHO! KAMITSUKI GATTAI! Kyoryujin Western Appears! Discuss! VAMOLA MUCHO! |
I still say that Westerns' theme music is a direct play on the original MMPR song.
|
This will be a good episode

parsan laying in castle

Much better episode than last week with some interesting plot developments. Could Ians friend Shiro return to be our evil ranger this season or a Basco like character who has the same powers?
|
I really liked this one. I can't tell if Kyoryujin's theme song is by NoB or Hironobu Kageyama... It's probably NoB, but I wanna believe dammit! ;_;
|
I'll agree it was a decent episode, but I have one major gripe. He didn't miss, the monster dodged. This probably wouldn't annoy me as much if I knew this event wasn't going to be part of a subplot.
On the good: Unmorphed fight. Always fun. Nice to know that the station in the base is to recharge their batteries...oh crap, I just got that while typing it. Kyoryujin Western is is the first Megazord battle I've liked in this show. |
I do like that King has to earn the respect of his team. That's a nice change from other hot head leaders like Ban and Jan.
Anyway, Western was a neat fight. I think I like that form more than base Kyoryujin. |
Is the sub out yet? I can't seem to find links for it any of the usual places.

Gotta say that was another great episode. Ians' back story was pretty interesting, the best part of it being that Aigaron is actually the one who killed his friend. Kyoryujin Western was definitely pulling some Dekarobo moves out there which I loved, the civilian clothes fight was pretty sweet, and the Kentrospiker is a beastly weapon. This show just continues to impress me. Can't wait to see Ramirez next week! |
Now this episode, I liked. Sure, the Kyoryujin battle went from the afternoon to sunset in a split second but it added to the 'western' feel of it. I was also glad to see them back at base and actually interact with Torin again.
I was wondering how the monster of the week had really been around for a year but the cut scene with Aigaron clarified things. He's kind of over the top goofy, but I think he's my favorite Debos general at the moment. It will be interesting to see what that stone does. |
I have mixed feelings on this episode. It was quite good, and I loved the Western stuff, but they really should have given Black a few more episodes to warm up to everyone. His change of heart just seem too sudden. I would have liked to have seen him not join the team until at least episode 6.
On the other hand, I did not expect the little plot twist with Sorrow at the end there. I hope Toei actually does something with it and not just make it a quick mention for half an episode and then nothing comes out of it like they did with Enter's megazord plans. |
I had a bit of an issue with Ian's sudden change too,but I got over it pretty quick. We all know that the team is gonna get together,so I don't really mind if they get right to it.And in the next ep even though Ian is cool with King, doesn't mean he won't have problems with everyone else.I also like how they're establishing King as a leader,he's responsible for bringing the team together and hopefully he'll keep them together.Especially during the next episode.
I loved the Kentrospiker,I was really just expecting it to be just a big sword like the Hundred Beast Sword. The fact that they can throw it like a harpoon is brilliant.I was really into Kyoryujin Western,I don't even care that they reused the Dekranger Robo roll. It's still pretty cool. Another great episode, and can't wait to see KyoryuCyan's introduction. |

And why didn't they just use the guns if they can't henshin ? It's stupid trying to hit monster with your bare hands. Wait, is that guy in the preview ShinkenBrown ? :lol |
It was a good episode I liked alot, The fact they were in the mecha shooting like as if they were in 1st grade again is what made it awesome! :D Also loved, Ians nickname/roll called name The Hot-Shot Hero.
|
Another fun episode. I did like the new mecha combo, and while I liked Kyoryujin a lot, I think Kyoryujin Western looks really cool too. The colors work better on it.
My favorite part of the episode has to be the civilian-clothes fight scene. I just love how they've been using it quite often. This, among many other things in the show, just reminds me so much of Power Rangers that I wonder if it's just a coincidence. |

Personally, I don't mind it. In fact I like it quite a bit because I like how fast paced the show is. It blazes by, but these sorts of episodes make for excellent re-watch value, in my opinion. |
Another great episode. Really liked Ian's backstory and how it's obviously going to crop up again. Kyoryuzin Western is an absolute beast as well, that combination certainly appeals to the Dekaranger fan in me :D
That being said, there are some little things still bugging me with this show. The transformation sequence here just proved to me that the dance may potentially reach Kamen Rider Wizard levels of ridiculousness when it comes to emotional scenes. The music and atmosphere had me really pumped, and then they broke into that stupid dance. And while the Kentrospiker is neat, the individual weapons might as well be made of styrofoam. However, these are little problems in what has been a great show so far. Question is whether it can keep this up now that the introductions are over. Also, was I the only one getting a Harry Potter vibe from this episode? There was an invisibility cloak and Parasagun seems to live at Hogwarts :lol |
The Parasugun totally reminds me of the Gunsniper from Zoids
|
Western was kick @$$
|
Good episode.Loved the plain clothed fight.Especially the Nobuharu Attack! Thought the Western was alot better then I thought it would be.Loved the finger shooting but really loved that the logo inside the cockpit transforms with each Kyoryujin form.Western's was the best, being a Cowboy badge and all.lol.
|
Yee-haw! What a fun episode. Kyoryuzin Western is my current fave among the combinations.
|
Definitely enjoying Kyoryuger thus far. The action scenes are excellent, the cast balances well with each other and the story structure appears solid enough to build a workable universe.
My big complaint so far is the villains; I don't find them all that memorable or distinctive enough from one another. Hopefully they will have more time in the future to show what they're capable of. |
Great episode liking Kyroyuger so far.
|
i love cute 5 dinos dancing of each eps
|
Which one of you sadists voted Bad?
Another great episode, hence why I voted excellent. It's nice seeing some of Ian's backstory, and why he was always so standoffish. Loving the Kyoryuzin Western, loving the devolopment of the characters, loving the Spiker Sword. ... Did I mention loved it? :D |

And the complaint about the Henshin ruining emotional moments like it might with Wizard. I don't see that happening. Let me try and explain the scene happening in my head. Kamen Rider Wizard. Haruto. Face to Face with his Greatest Enemy. His friends are hurt around him, Beast is down, and Haruto is pissed. Slow walking towards the Villian he angrily slides the Henshin Ring onto his finger, slaps his belt into place.. But before the song can begin he swipes the ring Henshin, Please! IE IE IEIEIEIE! No silliness, no ruining the moment. And it works much the same for King. Just change how he transforms. Instead of going through the dance, he'd slam the Battery home, drag the Chamber across his forearm, and fire the Henshin shot at the enemy. Becomining Kyoryu Red and emerging from the smoke. |
Candaleria and Aigaron have really hooked me. I love those 2. The others, especially lion thunder guy, are very forgettable.

Still loving this episode. It's nice to see that I was wrong and Ian isn't a complete loner, he just didn't want to lose any friends. Awwwww.I've said it before, but this cast is really fun. So much personality, and I love Blue's cheesy jokes (I forget his name, even though it was one of his jokes this week =\...)
The mech fight was cool, nice to see them all involved now, I like the Geki-vibe it has with them being in sync. And the Kentrospiker weapon is awesome. Hopefully it'll end up pretty cheap on Mandarake like the Goseiger weapons occasionally are. Otherwise, good episode with a nice little twist that'll hopefully come into play later. Although it does make me question the timing slightly, might have to re-watch the first episode. |
I really must agree about the sentiments on the villains.
I really can't remember any of their names because they're so...Bleh. Yes, they're a step up from the Warstar and the Zangyack (Didn't see enough GoBusters to comment on it's villains), but...Eh. It seems like they're all bumping elbows in their headquarters fighting for screen time, and I really can't bring myself to like any of them beyond the sad one because they're all playing off each other, rather than standing out as an individual. |

Another thing, how the hell is happiness being one of their empowering emotions going to work? It's like Riku Sanjo couldn't think of how, which is why we've had anger once and sadness twice at this point. |

It may not make sense to some but take next episode for example. Everyone is getting cavities from the Debos. Wouldn't it make sense that they have cavities because the Debos brought joy to people by over indulging them on sweets? But that joy in turn cause humans to suffer just as they also wanted, but the joy the humans experienced still feeds master Debos. |
