Power Rangers Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit Revealed
 

After months of speculation, HeroTaku has uncovered the first details about two upcoming board games based on the Power Rangers franchise!

The Ranger Monopoly pieces are:

*Goldar
*Lightning Bolt
*Alpha 5
*Megazord
*Morpher
*White Ranger Helment

The Trivial Pursuit covers all twenty years of the franchise with 1800 questions for dedicated fans!

Both games have a suggested price tag of 39.99 and should be released this July.

So all the pieces are MMPR?

Well that's a huge disappointment. Really, really lame that something that's meant to celebrate all series is still grounded in that one. I had my hopes up when they included everyone on the box, but it seems I was naive to think that nostalgia would lose to an actual celebration of the entire franchise... All the anniversary has been so far is MMPR worship, which is totally stupid.

Both games will cover all seasons plus the movies.

I was referring to the Monopoly pieces, should've cleared that up, sorry.

It would be far better for each piece to represent a different series rather then just make them all from MMPR.

I would so get the Trivial Pursuit,but it wouldn't be any fun because none of my friends watch ANY Power Rangers whatsoever.Beating them over and over effortlessly would get boring after a while :lol

I can't remember the last time I ever finished a game of Monopoly.

Lame, I was hoping for some Special Ranger pieces. White doesn't count anymore.

I don't understand why White Ranger is shoved in with the Red Rangers anyway. If they were going to argue that all leaders are there, then Time Pink should be there too, right? I then thought "it must be so there's 20 rangers for 20 seasons" but no, they omitted Quantum Ranger so there's only 19... It just comes across as moar MMPR worship and bugs me.

They already went over this. All the reds were chosen, and to make it a full 20, White Ranger was chosen because he is the next most iconic. Screw the Green Ranger, I guess, then. When they do special promotions with 20 reds, like the NYC event, they switch white out with female Samurai Red.

There's only 19 in the promotional pictures though because Quantum's omitted, like I said.

Well I think the big reason is Season 2 didn't differentiate the two Reds in any way.They didn't use the Dairanger suits and it'd be weird to have two MMPR Reds in a line-up.Tommy was technically made the leader of the Season 2 team.And Quantum Red seemed to just be a placeholder since they didn't have 20 different leader suits,someone probably pointed out he wasn't even a leader so that's why he got omitted.Probably just went along with "the 20 is for 20 years,not for 20 Rangers".

The same argument about Time Pink can even be used for the White Alien Ranger,she's outright stated to be the leader of that team.Sadly,boy show=male leaders.

Edit: Didn't realize they used female Samurai Red for promo events,but in promo images they probably still wouldn't use her.

Reason why 19 over 20?
Because, 20 rangers would mean there wouldn't be able to keep things symmetrical and have a center ranger.

Anyway, I'm disappointed by the game pieces. In all honesty, it should've included more from other series. I don't care if it would've hiked up the price by $10 for more pieces, it just feels like a disappointment that all the game pieces are MMPR...

I thought I remember reading about these a while back...Anyways, it's cool to know now what the Monopoly pieces will be. I'm perfectly fine with them all being MMPR related. Might get it...eventually. I might hunt down the Klingon version first. As for Trivial Pursuit...no interest here, so more for those that are.

I'm fairly interested in Trivial Pursuit, actually.
Unlike Monopoly, which plays exactly the same as it did 40 years ago with a different design, Trivial Pursuit changes entirely because the game is about the questions.

If you guys want to get Technical about the pieces...
The Lightning bolt is on every series logo..
Goldar apeared in MMPR, Zeo, apeared in turbo and in Space
Alpha was in MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy and Forever Red (I know that it was Alpha 5 and 6 but its the same design)

I need these.

The Lightning Bolt has changed over the years, thus it isn't a 100% consistent.
Goldar and Alpha both debuted in MMPR, hence why they're ultimately MMPR characters.
It's like calling Adam and Bridge Operation Overdrive characters because they appeared in that series.

Kinda want the Trivial Pursuit, but odds are I'll never have anyone to play it with.

No exactly.. Bridge and Adam only made a one story arc appearance... Goldar and Alpha were part of the cast on a weekly basis (more so Alpha then Goldar). We also dont know what lighting bolt they will go with. All I am trying to say is, Thats how bandai could market it. At the end of the day, Im with you, I wish it had more diversity among the pieces

Looks pretty cool. I won't bother getting it though- I've got no-one to play it with
