Minipla Kyoryuzin In Hand
12 Attachment(s)
Thanks to a user on Hatena Diary we have an EXTENSIVE look at the new minpla Kyoryuzin from Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger! We've been provided with boxed, pre-build, full build, and mid transformation shots alike. Unfortunately it looks like some liberties had to be taken with Kyoryuzins' design to achieve this figure, such as the removal of the Zyudenchi (beast batteires) from the design. Instead Gabutyra has permanently fixed black cylinders under his chin and tail which act as arm connectors.
We've hosted a selection of the images from this set here. Click the link to go and check out the full, and massive, image gallery of this latest minipla release! Credit: Hatena Diary |
And yet another Minipla I shall seek
|
I was desperately hoping promotional and display pictures were just posed badly and he did have elbows hidden in the designs.
Turns out he doesn't. Shame, I was semi-interested, too. |
Minipla's getting better year after year…wow...
|
And I was hoping the minipla would save this terrible design....

But that is a pretty disappointing minipla. |

Also I find gabutyra's expression on picture 10 hilarious XD |
I really want it but the lack of elbows makes me very sad. :(
|
almost ordered this guy this morning, glad I didn't.
I don't understand the lack of elbows, articulation is the whole point in buying these rather than the dx set. Guess Im going to skip the whole line. |
No elbows. Inevitable.
But it has KNEES. Bandai of America, when Kyoryger gets adapted, you give us KNEES! |

 Little sad about no Elbow. have to make them by my old Gunpla stock part
|
Looks great but it seems like the outward arm rotation is gone due to the sculpt.
|
Quite disappointing it has no elbow articulation. But I'll likely get it.

Kyoryuzin looks really disappointing in comparison to the last few minipla we've gotten. Hopefully I'll like it a lot more once I have it in hand.
|
i might get this once a sale few iteam for buying import due to i have decided to cut transformers down to just the generation line and master piece figures.
|
Well im sold.
|
Majorly disappointing =\ sure he looks like the DX, but I like my minipla for their articulation. If they can give Sealeon and Skyon from Goseiger elbows then they could have given them to these. The battery gimmick is awesome on the DX but here it does nothing so why keep it? Ugh.. Rant over.
I'll save my £20-ish and put it towards the DX =p |
I usually get the candy versions of the mecha because of the better proportions and added articulation, and although this toy has a wider range of motion in the legs it's disappointing to see a lack of elbow joints (which are a huge seller for candy mecha for me)
Also, the battery gimmick and sound effects are such a huge part of the toyline this year that it makes the DX version worth it. |
I am a bit dissapointed about the lack of elbows but I will probably get him once I see a bit more of the line. Pteraidenoh is who I'm most interested in so If his Minipla looks good and the combination with Kyoryujin looks good I'll get this guy too.

I just noticed this shot in the original gallery...
http://i.imgur.com/O3DEfRj.jpg Damn, Kyoryuzin isn't very big at all :( |

Elbows is a touch disappointing, but I think on Western and I'd have his arm straight out so.... Regardless I'll buy him. |

EDIT: For comparison's sake (my own photo) http://i.imgur.com/hnlPZBt.jpg EngineOh is only a bit shorter than GokaiOh. |
I have never seen a Minipla in person, about how big are these guys?
The lack of elbows is a little weird but taken in the context of the pictures themselves I think the figure looks nice. The very dramatically design helps, I think. |
I like the poseability of the minipla figures, but I couldn't bring myself to spend half the price of a DX mecha for one of these sets unless I had plans (or ability) to actually paint in the details...those stickers just make it look so cheap.
I wish they could incorporate combinations into the SRC line somehow... |
Wow, I was looking forward to this arriving but now I see it has no elbows and is tiny I'm mighty disappointed, even Furaimaru for Gokaiger managed to have elbows, you've got to wonder why they were ommited for this.

Such a disappointment.
|
seems like someone might have figure out if a 5 mecha combo existed.
Small, no elbows, bad shoulders.... I'm still going to get it, who am I kidding. |
Looks pretty cool for what it is. Then again, the look of this Megazord has been growing on me, and I'm really starting to like it. I'm looking forward to Saban eventually bringing it over here. I'd love to see a Retrofire version of this design.
|
I always favor a faithful transformation over articulation. The gobuster Ace's legs were a big disappointment, and It's sad that Gabutyra suffers the same way. But still looks fun and I'll grab one for sure.
