I really like the sound of it, I can't imagine it staying funny for 50 odd episodes but if it has a shorter run it could be a really good show.

huh, sounds interesting..... I still don't get this Japanese thing of showing Akihabara as "The place for geeks" When I was over there there was jack & Crap. Nakano...THATS where it was at!

Sounds like fun to me. Can't wait to watch it.

Ok, I just watched the RAW, and while I have no idea what was said exactly, I got the gist of it, and I really think I'm gonna love this show, Akiba Red is like Gai from Gokaiger, even kind of look like him too, albeit an older version. Now just waiting for someone to sub it :(

I don't know if they love to cosplay or do you have to dress like that when working at the Sentai Cafe, and I'd so go to one if one exists, just drooling at all the helmets and gears!

Yellow Jumping around was hilarious, especially when the explosion happened XD

Just watched the RAW myself and I've gotta say that it was pretty fun and enjoyable. Overall I'd give it a solid :thumb:

Most ending themes are boring. Ending themes in Japan are to get you out of the mood of the show and usually reflect on how the show is going to end.

as absolutely ridiculous as this show is I think I love it.

and the collection of sentai stuff in that room is amazing, can anybody say if that Gingaioh is the actual suit or just a statue made to look like it?

Holy crap that was awesome. I went in with no expectations and this provided several good laughs and references to past sentai. I have a feeling I'm going to love this show.

Well that was incredible. It's like the tribute series Gokaiger couldn't be without becoming a joke, so many nods to past Sentai :D Between this and Go-Busters, it could be the best year for Super Sentai for a long time.

Momoi halko for OP was a good choice since she is Akiba's idol first voice actress second

Yeah, I love Go-busters and Fourze, and now Akibaranger comes out swinging in the first episode. This could be the year that Toei has a winner in all the shows they're airing. :)

Watched the first episode, and wow. :lol Love how they reference some of the numerous tropes Super Sentai has.

I, so, love the comedy. I think I'm going to love this show.

Not to be a hater, but while I enjoyed the first show I could see this parody getting old pretty quickly. Hopefully I'll be wrong and the whole idea of delusion versus reality will hold my interest.

The part where they did the poses and the colored explosions was pretty priceless though!

Oh I'm with you. I'm not hating on it but this could easily get old, quickly. However it was a hilarious and enjoyable episode and I'm eager to see the Robo in action next week.

I feel that it was fresh, in it not taking itself seriously, but being aware of what it is... literally. I can't wait for more. =D

I'm not sure what to think yet. It was entertaining, but I don't know if it's something that will hold my interest. Some of the jokes are really clever (loved the chief villain leaving the battle because she got too cold in her skimpy costume), but at the same time a lot of it feels like a retread of Gai from Gokaiger, who was probably my least favorite part of that show. I'm going to keep watching for now, but I was as blown away as some of you guys apparently were.

:lol omg this was hilarious I love AkibaRed, he's such a huge nerd and at the beginning I was screaming at my screen "YOU'RE PASSING UP A 20 YEAR OLD MINT IN SEALED BOX SENTAI ROBO FOR A CREEPY BOSOU SHINKI RIP-OFF ARE YOU HIGH?!?!?!?!?!?!?" And I love how he was imagining what his crush would react if she found out that he was a nerd and :lol Over-Time's subs during that time "I'm sorry I can't date someone who calls anime girls "mai waifu" I also love how self aware this show is and how AkibaRed said "power levels don't exist in sentai!" It's just lines like that that make this show but what's with this whole "delusion" nonsense? And the nameless grunts kinda creep me out...

Actually, now that I know what the song is about thanks to the subs, it might one of the best end themes I've ever heard, the lyrics are just amazing.

The songs were great- the show was fantastic,,, I haven't enjoyed a Sentai this much out of the gate since, I dunno. Possibly forever.

Agreed, it felt like it added a little something extra to the show itself rather than being something completely unrelated and forgettable.

It's definitely catchy. I didn't think much of it at first, but after seeing the first episode I found myself humming it.

Akibaranger is supposed to only have a total of 15 eps though, so I don't think it will overstay its welcome. However, if the series is doing well, I hope Toei will pick up more episodes because there are enough puns and sentai teams to poke fun at for 20+ episodes imo.

I really enjoyed it, it was funny and clever and awesome =] and for some strange reason I could listen to yellow talk and make nyaa noises all day =p

I like how the group is not in sync when they transform/morph.

I didn't realize this. This show might work with that few episodes.

Only 15 eps? Damn. :( Oh well, I'm sure if it does well enough it could get more.
