Kyoryu Gold Magazine Scans- Identity Revealed
 

HenshinJustice has uncovered the newest round of magazine scans- giving us our first real look at the 6th Kyoryuger, KyoryuGold!

According to the scans, Gold's real name is Maru Utsusem- another ancient warrior reborn to fight the Devoss Army. Tune in to Kyoryuger this April to find out more!

Wow, that mecha is AWESOME-looking! It just looks amazing in robot mode!

The guy himself gives me Showa-vibes, looking a bit older with a more dated hairstyle. It's a bold move for them.

MAJORLY disappointed that its not Torin. Was hoping he'd start having a lot more to do in the show.

Mecha looks pretty damn cool though I have to admit.

I highly doubted that it would have been Torin. The 6th Ranger is usually a safe bet to sell toys, so is usually a standard human.

If Torin ever becomes a Ranger, I'm guessing a DekaMaster/Wolzard type of character. Hopefully that comes with an AWESOME design.

That's the thing, there was nothing to suggest Kyoryu Gold couldn't have been an awesome Dekamaster type character (other than that he has his own mecha, but it seems everyone does in this show). The bird/pteranodon parallel would have been perfect as well.

I do agree its a shame that kyoryugold isn't Torin I still think he looks freaking beast. Plus dat pteraraidenOh.

Only thing I'm disappointed in is the battery isn't black.

I was hoping Torin would join the fray but oh well I'm sure Gold will be epic anyway

I can't believe the sixth ranger is appearing this early in the series. I still feel that it's barely scratched the surface to have another member this early on. Usually the ranger appear much later on. Oh well, that's a marketing decision that Bandai & Toei made.

This might present hope for another main Ranger, putting the main team up to 7 members plus 3 Spirit members. That'll make a nice number, no?

With 10 mecha I'd say that's a pretty solid speculation

Imma commit Murders to get my hands on the Mini-pla for this, totally gonna paint it Gold!

So far I'm liking this guy. Besides I don't why people are getting upset over Torin not having a fighting role. LOTS of Tokusatsu characters don't fight, so why should the guy with the fragile looking costume fight at all? Some mentors weren't fighters at all and people still like them.

Plus if K. Gold is a samurai I will be so happy. He might be the most GAR Kyoryuger of all if Toei plays their cards right.

I don't think anyone was expecting Torin to fight without having a ranger form.

At this point, I just want a Torin figuart :lol Give me that and I'm good.

So we might be getting 10 heros cool that will be the sentai with the most Dekkaranger had 9 so I wonder what colours there will be maybe Bunpachi will have Kyoryu Gray

It might end up being a Zero like Sally, that would be great though, they release KruyuCyan (Ramires) as SHF and a FZero of Torin just standing there, like BAsco and Sally release...

But I am just waiting to see the inevtible Mecha-clusterF**k :lol I mean we have 10 zords so far. 5 of them so far are arms, the other 2 are a giant Trex that forms a mech, minus arms (as always he will be the base of the huge thing), then this new one, a friggin' mech by itself!

I don't understand why so many people were wanting Torin to be the 6th ranger. I've never been a fan of the "alien" rangers; they have completely different body structure, yet they transform into a humanoid suit. I guess morphing involves a liquification process of some kind and they get poured in :/

*Edit: And now that I think about it, this could be an entirely plausible scenario. He could just download his consciousness into the mechanical suit, lol.

I don't really care that Torin isn't the sixth ranger. maybe later on he'll retrieve a Beast battery but he always struck me as a guardian of the powers rather than a wielder.

Am I the only one who's noticed that the new mecha's head bares a striking resemblance to Gozyujin?

Nice to see that the preview pics of Pteragodon's leg claws look less freaky on the suit. And that said claws don't jut out awkwardly from the thighs.

Not really bothered who Gold is =p I really hope we don't have a 'old warrior is trapped in his zyudnechi because a bad guy is controlling their mech' story-line every time we have a new mech/warrior. It'll get old quick.

On the plus side, crotch hands on the mecha don't look too goofy, so there's that. Either way, can't wait for them both to show up =)

I guess being an "alien" Ranger is precisely why people want Torin to be a Ranger. When Doggie Kruger became DekaMaster, I was really impressed that they actually got one of their puppet characters to become a Ranger!

We've seen many examples that henshins and morphing changes the body structure in both Power Rangers and Super Sentai. Besides Doggie Kruger, there's Kou (Kibaranger) and Justin (Blue Turbo Ranger) who were kids that transformed into adults and Ramirez (KyoryuCyan) who visibly lost a lot of pounds after henshin. If I want to be nitpicky, it's amazing how Theo (Blue Jungle Fury Ranger) suddenly gained so much height and how Dillon (RPM, Ranger Series Black) suddenly became so small despite having a large body frame.

No one questioned it when Kiba Ranger was a child who grew to adult size in costume. No one made a big stink about big ol' Ramirez shrinking substantially down into the Cyan costume. And Beet J Stag slims down significantly when he becomes Stag buster. And I love Dekamater, and I would have loved to have seen Torin be that type of character.

You know, based on the black Pteragodon Zyudenchi we've seen for episode 6 & 7 I have an awfully good feeling that the Pteraidenoh will pull a Gao Hunter Evil/Justice on us. It looks like it has a visor that can cover it's eyes, I'm betting that's how they differentiate between it being controlled by the Debos and being controlled by gold himself.

Yeah their def going for a gaoranger homage with him having an evil mode and Gold being inside Degold. Would have also been nice if they'd made it a nice long story arc like in Gaoranger also. But I guess an evil Dx Pteraidenoh would have sat on the shelf longer. I'm def gonna pick up the Candie toy battery and paint it black just so I have pure and corrupted battery.

Is it me or does Gold look like Hikaru/MagiShine?

It seems to me that the Gold Senshi always have the best transforming mecha.
It looks more like something from Ryuki IMO.

Ramirez definitely lost some weight, but he was still noticeably heavy inside of his suit. I just wish more characters were handled in a believeable manner like that. I'm perfectly fine with having alien-species rangers, I just wish they'd be more creative with their suit designs. There's no law that says they have to squeeze them into a human suit.

That's actually why I want Torin to be a ranger. :lol
Just the acknowledgement that, regardless of species, anyone can be a ranger. Sure, they have to change body shape, but non-human (I know we have "Aliens" as rangers, but really. The only time I remembered the Gokaigers were aliens was when they brought it up) rangers are a rarity, and I'd be all for more of them.

This seems a bit early in the series, especially to bring the ranger count up to 7, but that mech is AWESOME!! If they are doing an evil ranger again, this seems like a good time to do it though. Especially if they are doing a long arc
