A New Ultraman To Be Revealed?
1 Attachment(s)
This year marks Tsuburaya Productions' 50th Anniversary. At a special event next month (April 12th to 14th) the company is expected to reveal a new Ultraman and possibly start off another new franchise.
The TV Magazine scan included here is the first real look we have at the rumored new character. What abilities it may have are yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for more details! Source: Rising Sun Tokusatsu UPDATE: Tsuburaya has apparently registered the trademark for Ultraman Ginga, which appears to be the name of this new hero. |
One thing we know for certain... His Ultra-Act will almost certainly have Man Boobs :lol

That leak coffee. But any way woooooo! New Ultraman!
|
This could be cool. Though if anything they should have saved Ultraman Saga for the big anniversary character.
|
Please don't be the Ultraman from the new manga. Please don't be the Ultraman from the new manga....
|
Now if this is a new Ultra series who will sub it because as we know no one subs Ultraman
|
Haven't Ultrafanz & GUIS been doing the movies recently?
|
Sadly, the more I look at it, the more it does look like the new horrible manga Ultra :(
|
The new Ultraman manga is awesome, sorry if you don't like it. Thankfully japanese fans seems to agree, it made number 10 on kono manga ga sugoi last year and the sales for the tankobon are very successful, especially considering it runs in a seinen magazine that started only recently. If it's similar to the comic, boy that will be awesome. Don't really give a shit about concept changing or not transforming into a giant, I'm very open minded

I haven't been reading the new manga, no idea if anyone even translates it and I actually forgot it existed. If it's the same one that I found doing some quick Googling, nothing other than the light on the chest looks to match that manga design.

He looks like Gridman to me.
Can somebody point out which Ultraman is the new manga version? |

http://www.jefusion.com/2011/10/hero...-revealed.html Personally though, I dig the manga. Sure it's vastly different to any other Ultraman, but that doesn't make it a bad thing in the slightest. |

I am excited for a new Ultraman. Been very much digging on the modern stuff including the Zero movies. So the next step has me very jazzed up. I hope it's a return to weekly television again, as well! |
Nice, hopefully we get a whole boat-load of new Utraman toys out of this. Also hoping this new Ultraman is not going to be as ridiculously powerful as Ultrazero; not that I'm hating on Zero, but it'd nice to have the monsters actually present a challenge for the hero.

And there you go, the manga theory is dead in the water with the trademark. Come on, Ultraman Ginga television series!
