Power rider Apollo ment to kamen rider fourze

We have an exclusive look tonight at what appear to be casting sides for Power Rider! Our source tells us that they are in the early stages of casting for the show, which appears to be adapted from Kamen Rider Fourze. Images and a transcription of the sides are below.

Neil appears more reserved than Gentaro by description. Do keep in mind, however, that these are just sides, and therefore subject to change. Other things of note with these sides:

Saban seems to be sticking to the space theme
Most of the Kamen Rider Club appears to retain their personalities, albeit ‘Sabanified’
The Riders possess a fairly blatant Astronaut naming scheme
Our source implied that Koichi Sakamoto would serve as Executive Producer and that Amit Bhaumik would serve as a writer on the series. More details as they come.

Calling fake on this. I've never heard of this site to have "exclusive" news as big as this before and its far too close to April 1st for me to take anything seriously without some serious evidence.

Also, reading through the script I'd be very surprised if Saban has the balls to give the character playing Cancer a terminal illness.

We've known about Saban's legal acquisition of the 'Power Rider' name for what, about a year now? It seems fishing that they've managed to write a script and get to the casting stage without any member od the fandom finding out about it.

Also, I don't think the phrase "Steve Buschemi" type would ever make it into a legitimate document.

Yeah, I stopped reading after I saw that. This has to be fake.

My BS detector is screaming, so I say fake.

But "Neil?" Pushing the astronaut thing a bit far, aren't we? Let's just change Meteor's name to "Buzz", why don't we?

I'm chalking this up as fake, too.
Primarily because this is too close to April 1st.

However, I wouldn't put it past Saban to possibly make a character with cancer. That could actually lead to a compelling story. Rather than the original story, with the Cancer Zodiart being evil because it's fun, the Cancer Zodiattack could be evil in hopes of curing himself. It's a simple story, but still an effective one.

However, I'm still raising the "Fake" flag.

I say probably fake, until next Tuesday that is. Then it would be either definitely fake or real.

And if real, fingers crossed it doesn't suck like Masked Rider.

It would make a very compelling story. But I don't think Saban would be the ones to try it.

I am really uncertain what to think of this, real or not.

Fourze may not be my favorite Kamen Rider series (that's either Ryuki or W), but it was the first I watched from start to finish (with Wizard being the first I've watched at all, but it's still ongoing), so it is kinda special to me.

I like that it seems to be trying to do a relatively faithful adaptation. A lot of the characters have similar quirks. But whatever they did to Gentarou's character...the hell? He goes from being the guy that wants to be friends with everyone to someone that is uninterested in everything? Uh....ok.

Fourze may have been a goofy, off the wall series, but it also knew how to take itself seriously when it needed to and it had some genuinely serious moments and some great drama. I mean hell, it even managed to get a few tears out of my by the end. I just hope that whatever adaptation it receives does that justice.

Imma go fake for a few reasons:

A small thing, but kind of important. After INT. (insert location) there should follow the time of day. So DAY, NIGHT, DUSK etc.

Very little description. I get this is just for an audition and not the full script, but I'd still expect something about the location they're in.

Neil: Cool. Here's my secret handshake... Yeah this sounds stupid and is unnecessary. The 'cool' bit can stay but the rest would be part of the scene description.

And finally the things the characters say, most notably the first scene. 'I'm just glad you were nearby me' Because that totally sounds like natural speech...

It sounds like you're not very familiar with Saban and Power Rangers :p
"Zordon told us these Power Morphers will give us power, so let's use them!"

I hope this is true against all odds and Steve Buscemi decides to actually take the teacher role.

Haha, yeah I guess it is quite Power Rangery. I guess just seeing it on paper and reading it myself made it stand out more =]

I'm calling the FAKE flag too. Like Hell Saban's giving a character Cancer (the illness, not the H. Switch)

Man, why can't he just port over Kabuto and be done with it? He wants a Power Ranger like team and there's enough suits in Kabuto to work for him. If he tried to do Fourze it's going to bite him in the ass.

The only thing that could make me think the cancer thign is real is if they used it to raise awareness or something.

Can't judge its authenticity, but the script and descriptions seem like run-of-the-mill Saban stuff, so its convincing enough. If it's real it's too bad about the casting of Kamen Rider Apollo being restricted in ethnicity.

Oh, and Zodiattack is about the worst name anyone could think of to replace Zodiarts.
