Other Heroes in Super Hero Taisen Z Net Movies
 

Yesterday DecaEnd of HJU reported on the appearance of a Tsuburaya character in Toeis' upcoming Super Hero Taisen Z Net Movies. Tsuburaya being the parent company of the Ultraman Franchise it's safe to say we'll see at least one Ultra appear.

When Orends Range reported this news it was pointed out by a user there (Shogeco) that if you look closely at the SHTZ Net Movies Site there's a small copyright on the page for Marvel Comics! Could this mean the return of the 70's Japanese toku hero Spider-Man? Time will tell!

Marvel also had their name on Battle Fever J, Sun Vulcan, and Denjiman. It could just be one of those.

That Spider-Man was awesome. Any thing bad you plan to say about that show is invalidated by how awesome Leopardon was. One of the absolute coolest 70's robos.

Has Marvel comics ever hinted that Spidey is aware of the 70's series and has made quick jokes about him going to Japan or having a giant robot?

Wasn't Battle Fever J a joint project between Toei and Marvel? That could be the reason.

However, if it is the return of the Japanese Spider-Man, then let's go! It'll probably be a section on Giant Robots in the net movies, and the characters will be like "Actually, Battle Fever wasn't the first. It was actually-" And in swings Spidey "SUPAIDAH-MAN!" or something :lol

My god. Fireworks in my pants at the very thought of this.

I don't think these Net Movie "cameos" or whatever are going to be anything more than use of footage or images from crossovers. There's that pic of Spider-Man with V3, and Ultraman vs. Kamen Rider. I bet this year's net movies are focusing on super hero crossovers that have happened in the past, and so Toei is obligated to give due credit to Tsuburaya and Marvel.

Something occurred to me...would the Spiderman movie license affect Japanese Spiderman from appearing in one of these?

No it would not du to that a movie license not tv license due to we were still able to have a spidy cartoon on Disney also it based on a different character not Peter Parker as well so it still no

I just checked something. That copyright isn't to Marvel Comics. It's for Marvel Characters Inc, which is the company that licenses out the Marvel characters for media purposes. For that to be there, it means Toei has licensed a Marvel character. It could still just be old footage, but it seems likely that Spider-Man is going to show up.
