Hey Power Rangers Megaforce fans! After a rather contraversial last weekend with the premiere of the latest addition to Power Rangers Megaforce, the ally (or is he?) named Robo Knight, the story of our latest teenagers with attitude continue this weekend with episode 9, "Prince Takes Knight".

Vrak captures Robo Knight (who is suffering from some robot amnesia already) with the intent of re-programming him to be an evil robot.

Why's it called "PRINCE takes Knight?" What's the significance of prince? Or of prince taking something?

Vrak is a prince, or at least he comes from royalty.

Vrak is apparently going to be related to the Gils family, the "evil royal family" in the Super Megaforce portion of "Power Rangers Megaforce" (aka the Gokaiger adaption).

So it goes from Gosei knight hating humans cause of the pollution they cause to Robo knight turning evil cause he has......Robot amnesia.

Just as I was starting to think that MegaForce was a step in the right direction...Roboknight "Protector of the Environment" happened. There HAS to be someone on the writing team who's job it is to work pointless issues, which have nothing to do with the story, into each episode (bullying, pollution, global warming, friendship, blahblah, etc.). I understand that its a show geared towards children, but there just seems to be an overabundance of cheesiness.

I'd rather have him fight against pollution,which the new generals are based off of,then turn bad because of amnesia.

At this point, I'd rather him be killed off, lol.

On that note, anyone want to buy a Gosei Knight Figuart?

You ARE aware this is Power Rangers, right? This show is 36% Ham, 28% Cheese, and 43% Japanese Stock Footage.

What? The sum of those numbers is more than 100? Don't care! Super Sentai stock footage is just as hammy and cheesy in the motions of the suit actors as Power Rangers is anywhere else. It's fun!

Well I guess what I mean is that they choose cheesy topics. In Sentai, the characters may act cheesy from time to time (in suit or out), but for the most part, the story is still presented in a more mature way. Power Rangers, on the other hand, takes Sentai footage and then adds all the best writing of a Captain Planet episode.

this is how i see it right since the buy back from disney it would not shock me that saban brands spent most of there money to get power rangers back so they came up with a weak kid show like MMPR in samurai and continue the formula. look at the show on CN Ben 10 can get dark still has a good story and aimed at kids, transformers prime the same concept aimed at kids and dark story line power rangers was that and now ant it going to take them more then 2 seasons due to i class the second half as part of the first or more to get back to the point on being dark and be still aimed at kids like cartoons such as what i mentioned before

Power Rangers R.P.M. is frantically waving at you, all the while saying, "Jonathan Tzachor may have placed me in an alternate universe, but I was still more mature than Engine Sentai Go-Onger, in addition to being one of the most, if not the most, well-received Power Rangers seasons to date!"

I'm going by the general rule, not the exception.

Dose TV have to teach our kids?

My bad,missed the debut episode.Just assumed saban made him fight the enemies just cause.Nice to hear they kept SOMETHING about him the same.Still.....robot amnesia?

Think of it like rubbing a big magnet over an internal memory card and then installing new files to the memory card. You'll be fine.

Unless you realize "big magnet+electronics=very dangerous and probably will cause irreversible damage."

But what place does science have in Power Rangers? You can breath on the normal gravity Moon and float about the vacuum of space in no protective suit whatsoever and not die.

Or in some cases,take down giant,planet destroying dragons with a dirtbike. I see your point.lol

That's why I love String Theory- Power Rangers science and our science are both equally plausible!

It's a chess pun. Instead of "King takes Knight" or "Queen takes Knight" it's "Prince takes Knight."

TV has been educating our children (as well as ourselves) for a very long time now. While I don't deny that it's a "babysitter" for some parents, the teaching aspect has nothing to really do with that. Since the days of Howdy Doody, TV has taught it's viewers something, even if it's obscure.

So the title is a chess pun? Interesting…

After re-watching this episode I feel like the only reason it exists was (A) filler and (B) to introduce the Gosei Ground Megazord. Nothing really happened.
