First Half of Season One Done, What do We Think?
 

The first half of the first season of Megaforce is done and behind us. We've had Ranger War footage, homages to Season One, the excellent voice acting of Vrak, and the mixed reactions to Robo Knight.

Only thing stopping me from voting Excellent is Robo Knight. But allow me to focus on the Good instead of harping on what I see as the Horrible. Coming off the Horror Show that was Samurai, I'm pleased to see Saban took critizism to heart and hired Actors this time. Ciara Hannah, and Jason Hood (The Man behind Vrak's Epic voice), being the absolute Joys of this season. I cannot imagine this series without either one of them. And while I don't like "Megaforce... RED!" during the Morph, or Robo Knight's voice, I am still in love with this Series.

I have little to complain about so far. All I can say is it's been a while since I looked forward to Power Rangers every weekend.

As we get further in, I find myself being a bit more nitpicky about things. Especially Robo Knight. But overall, I still like it.

Very good.
Now, I hold a season to a few standards:
Does it match up or exceed its most recent predecessor?
Does it make me want to watch the Sentai source?
Is it a good toy commercial to me?

And in those regards:
Check, though a rather easy one.
Check.
Check.

Very simple, but mostly because Samurai sucked, Megaforce gets bonus points.

Voted excellent. I literally don't have a single thing to complain about when it comes tot his show. Technically we aren't half-way through season one yet. It's twenty episodes long, and we've only seen nine of them. One more and we'll be there...:o

I'm really not feeling it. I just don't find it to be very good. Granted, yes, it's better than Samurai, but that's not exactly a difficult feat.

I honestly haven't even watched the last two episodes. The show's not terrible, but it is leaving me very much in a state of non-grippedness. Gia and Sentai flipping out over robo Knight are the only real highlights.

Well I'm enjoying it more than the current Superhero Time line up. That's something Power Rangers hasn't done in years. I'm just going with "good" because there's nothing stand out or unique about it, but what's there is (mostly) fun to watch.

its pretty decent, few things are mindblowing, and thankfully not mindnumbing. Now we wait what, 6 months for another new episode?

It's good not the best, but watchable and enjoyable..I guess the only thing I dislike is Robo Knights Voice.

I stopped watching after episode 2, so what does that tell you?

It was doing well but Robo was the biggest let down, not that I hate him or anything it is just he is so off putting. I still like it and I do think it is good. Let's hope for the next season and a half will improve as we get to know the characters more

It's not unwatchable, but it's gone from somewhat good to below average. Episode 9 in particular was especially be bad.

I wanted to watch it, but it's just so....uninteresting, I'll come back when they move over to Gokai.

Yellow and Black are great actors and definitely lift the series above Samurai but this is the 20th Anniversary and, frankly, this show isn't cutting it.

I stopped watching Kyoryuger and Wizard after episode 1. What does that tell you?

=/ Awful. I cannot wait until Super Megaforce.

I want to like it more but I don't find any of the characters watchable. For me, Goseiger was by far the worst Super Sentai series so there's really not much Saban can do to make this show better. They're trying but I'm not finding anything in the show entertaining. I also hate Tensou.

The hate aside, I am looking forward to Super Megaforce because there are posibilites there that make me smile.

The toys were pretty good, though.

But this is about the show, so moot point there.

I'll conceed Datas. But one wrong word about Moune and it's on :lol Like Donkey Freaking Kong.

Moune was the ranger I liked!

Okay, I've watched 3 episodes of Megaforce. The first 2 and the 8th episode with Robo Knight. I like it for the most part, should I go and watch the rest of the episodes?

Absolutely. For Gia if nothing else :lol

Lol you would hate one of my friends, he thinks she's the worst part. I like her.

I have enjoyed the 1st half but it feels extremely short (in the amount of episodes). I don't know how they can compress what needs to be done to get them to the legend war over the next half without rushing everything. It doesn't have the epic quality in terms of story I feel an anniversary show should. The aliens don't feel like any sort of threat and therefor the humans, or the Power Rangers for that matter, are not on any sort of high alert. They are just going about their daily lives. They should be working on how are they are going to stop the aliens and keep the world safe. I am enjoying the show but it feels like its just coasting by sometimes.

All in all, I enjoy the throwback feel of the show...my only gripe, like most, is Robocop...err...Knight...

If he ever says "Freeze creep!", I'm gonna have to stop watching...

Megaforce was certainly a show that got better as it went along, the start was wobbly as hell and even now half way through, I'd say it is fun, rather than actually good which I guess is all you really need.

Goseiger's fights are really good when you remove all mention of angels with playing cards, which is what put me off of Goseiger aside from how boring it was. The only thing that lets the action down is there are some really...odd editing decisions scattered throughout.

Really my only gripe with the series is a lack of character focus and well...a plot. There is more Goseiger footage than anything else and it's impressive just how quickly everything becomes boring when it's basically one long fight scene.

By this point I'd happily see an episode with no fighting at all, which is just there to explore the characters but I know that wouldn't make the kiddies happy.

After catching up with Megaforce, I am loving the characters (Except Gia) and intrigued with the story. I haven't found it bad at all so I can't wait for more.
