I can't beleive the whole "Chinaman/Daikaiger" rumour dispelled in Super Hero Taihen is an honest to God plot point.

And given the appearance of China Red, I have a feeling S.H. Figuarts just tipped its hand regarding an online exclusive some day. Also, I have a feeling the American flag stuff on the Zyuranger figure that was posted in the News thread may not have been accidental.

And I kinda like the full version of the theme and the new bad guy.

Haha, that was an awesome episode. Should definitely sort out some the problems people had with the first ep. Luna is pretty cool and i dig the new opening song.

I guess the new bad guy has something to do with Chinared/the disappearance of Dairanger. Guess we'll find out next week.

Also was that a re-recording of a sun vulcan song at the end, or entirely new? Either way, I hope they do it for other shows =)

Oh and the battery joke had my laughing way more than it should have done =p

Okay, now this, this is the Akibaranger I know and love! :D Last week's premiere had me worried, but it definitely looks like we're firing on all cylinders (or maybe fresh batteries) again. I'm not entirely sure what I think about Luna, but she looks like she'll be fun and we should get some mileage out of her desperate famewhore personality.

Now the question on my mind is -is Kibaranger still a pervert who grabs boobies? If yes which boobies will he grab?

So it looks like all the shows after Dairanger still exist, that shop just had a lot of stuff for such an old series.

I'm not sure how I feel about new blue. The bits when she did Dairanger things was amusing, but she seemed like a dumb ass when she first fought.

I like that they had a cover of Fight! Sun Vulcan Robo for the ending, if it was a bit random. And the new opening is way better than Season 1.

I like the new villain. 'Nuff said.

I think the whole Sun Vulcan cover they did at the end references the fact that this series and Sun Vulcan both have just 3 members, and both teams have the same colors. Just bummed that I missed out on watching the sub, but the raw was still great to see :D

How exactly do you miss out on watching the sub?

While all that stuff about Sun Vulcan and Akibaranger is true, I still don't see what it has to do with anything. Not that I'm complaining; having a cover of a different song each week is cooler than using the same song every week. I just hope they can keep it up.

Just watched this episode and I thought it was fantastic! Definitely much better than the first! I kind of like this new blue over the old one. Haha.

Well when yellow first appeared it looked like blue was comparing herself with yellow. You can clearly see who's was bigger...Hahaha.

I thought the new blue was pretty cool. The differences in roll call and names for the final attack I thought was kinda funny. Maybe she seemd kind of dumb because she isn't aware that it is all a delusion and that it wasn't an actual filming...haha

Whatever Hate Saburo has planned by making Akibaranger and Dairanger switch places will probably become more apparent thanks to Kibaranger. It's clear that Saburo has done this to them for some reason, there's some end game here we aren't aware of yet.

Loved Luna. Being a super fan of the "original" Gosei Sentai Akibaranger and knowing all the specifics of that show makes her hilarious. Thinking she's filming a TV show like Nobuo did in Season 1, getting the roll call wrong, using the cannon wrong :lol Good stuff all around. I also love how much of a doofus China Red is being. I've seen set photos of Ryurangers real original actor dressed like Nobuo and now it makes sense why after Luna made the cosplay comment. He's dressed that way because the same actors stared in Akibaraner instead of Dairanger.

I'm also seeing deep connections to Sun Vulcan and othe Showa series. The Sun Vulcan ending theme is what gives it away. And Kibaranger surviving, and knowing what Dairanger was even though his show doesn't exist anymore, leads me to believe that replacing a 6 ranger show like Dairanger with the 3 person team of Akibaranger didn't go as smooth as Saburo wanted it to. He'll probably try and replace Sun Vulcan next since the colors will match up more easily. No 6th ranger loose ends like Kibaranger either.

So, who's up for a Figuarts China Red?

Shouldn't be too hard, I mean they have the body for Ryuranger. They just need to add eyes, change the logo and maybe throw in a delivery container accessory.

Well we did see a proto/joke of Tyranno Ranger with US markings referencing Power Rangers. And Chinaranger is a reality now even though it's actually NOT something that was proposed for Dairanger. That was a rumor floating around since the 90's but it's not any sort of proposed title for an actual series. Though the eyes on the helmets was true.

So really? Anything is possible at this point :lol And I'd buy it plus a Ryuranger in a heartbeat. Minute differences and all!

When I said she seemed dumb, I was referring to her fighting and shooting randomly during the beginning of the fight.

I think Kibaranger is somehow part of Gosei Sentai Akibaranger. Perhaps an evil senshi? If you look at his vest, it has the Akibaranger logo on it.

I saw that but I wasn't sure if it was just a side effect of Saburo erasing Dairanger.

Ah, well that's a valid point I guess. I found it entertaining though. Haha. I still think I like her more, for now anyways since it was only her first appearance.

Hilarious episode, especially when the villain dude turned out to be in a karaoke room the entire time.

I was kind worried whether I was gonna like Luna at all.I rewatched Season 1 and really started liking Mitsuki a lot more.Maybe it's because I knew she was gonna be leaving,but I have a better appreciation for her now.Luna isn't too bad,but I immediately got sold on her once she namedropped Koichi Sakamoto.

The bigger namedrop that really blew my mind though was effing Chinaman.It was pretty funny when they mentioned it in Taihen when it was just a gag,but who would've thought it would become a plotpoint for a show.Can't wait to see how that gets resolved and yeah,EFFING Kibaranger/White Ranger.

Also,I need more of Yuu Kamio being Dr.Maki playing a Sentai-shop owner.I need to see him have Bae on his arm some more or even different Sentai figures every time he would show up.

He was quite brilliant. Maybe next time he could have Bibidebi from Megaranger on his arm?

so9 far im not too impressed by this second season, doesnt seem to really have the same allure that the first season had

The new opening is miles better on ep1, but I still like the original. Also, I now want to work at a Chinaman store. Captain Blu-Ray is awesome, and the new minions are creepy. Why do I think they come from AkibaYellow's mind. My theory on were KibaRanger survived from-MMPR. Hatte Saburo forgot about that, and if Akiba is Dai now, they wouldn't have a sixth ranger to fill in. Tommy would have been fully written out of the show, we'd never have had MMPR White... would PR have been cancelled?

I think the OP for Season 2 is way better than the Season 1. The beginning alone is so epic.

FINALLY got around to watching this episode properly. I'm still not COMPLETELY sold on the new Blue, but I enjoyed all the confusion she had with naming things :lol
