Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Red Quarter-finals Round 4
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

I'm going to be honest, I don't expect this to be one of the more epic battles. We've got one of the most popular Reds of all time up against a guy that only arguably qualifies for this pool. Let's see how this one goes.

Well, as a wise wizard once said "It takes more strength to cry, when you need to."

Hunter.Why? Cause he beat up Shane,another red,on a daily/per episode basis.Not only that,but his presence is just awesome.If you stand by Andros,and never met him before,you couldnt tell he was the leader of anything.He just has this meek presence(not taking any accomplishments away from him at all).Hunter though,if you stand by him you could tell he was the one in charge of the beetle rangers.You could feel it.

I'd rather vote for a red that I would feel confident following,then a red that if I just met,I'd ask him where the local Hot Topic is.

I love both of these rangers, however I love Hunter more. Also the Thunder Rangers were badass.

Hunter. Because unless Whining is a Super Power, there's no way Andros is better.

He whined about his sister, he whined about Zyane being in a coma, he whined because they let him out of the coma, he whined because Zordon wanted him to release the glass power of pickles, he whined during releasing the glass power of pickles.

You seriously need to rewatch Power Rangers in Space if that's how you think Andros acted.

Thing is we're judging these guys based on their talents,leaderships skills,fighting ability,etc.We can't judge them on what they already accomplished,but how they would fare against each other/leading a team.Both reds are very similar in this case.Both "orphans",both having to rely on a sibling for emotional strength and support.No one knows how long each of them were a Red because they both were already Reds when they first showed,so who knows their experience level.

It's a tough call leadership wise too.Andros had to make some really tough decisions and lead a group of five.Hunter also had to make some tough decisions but only was with his brother.Yet even if he was just with his brother,he had to make sure his brother was ok at all times.Andros just lead a bunch of people he met and became friends with,Hunter had to lead family.

Fighting wise,they're pretty much equal.They both have alot of gear and power behind them.I didnt judge it on this,I judged on their leadership.

I'm going with andros why cause hunter is like Eric not class a proper red ranger if he was he would be one of the 20th reds making Lauren the 21st red but no so andros all the way even though Sabah class Eric as a red ranger

Gotta give it to da Ninja. I just enjoyed Hunter's suit so much more and I remember my friend having both him and his brother's figures with their cycles and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I was too young to remember much about Andros.

Andros defeated the Psycho Rangers, twice.

Hunter defeated the Wind Ninja Storm Rangers.

No offense to Hunter, but he had it a whole lot easier than Andros.

I honestly have to agree with all of this. I mean, why isn't he allowed to show geniune concern towards his friend as well as his mentor?

It doesn't make sense but that's apparently the logic for voting this round.

The real deciding factor of this battle? Andros' Battleizer. Sure, Hunter does have a few long range attacks but Andros can just fly higher, faster and spam larger blasts.

Yeah, I never got PR's obsession with big mussels anyway. If Andros wasn't ripped it would've made the battlizer look much better IMO.
