Cool hidden features (Tokusatsu edition)
Liked the thread on TFW so here's one for this place.
Recent ones I found out a few minutes ago. - Found out the disk on SH Figuarts Ika can come off. - SH Figuarts Ebi has moveable arms. |
The interchangeable limbs between the Abaranger and Gokaiger DX figures. These limbs probably work with other figures too but these are the only ones I've noticed it on

Most of the old DX Robos have interchangeable limbs. You can make a lot of strange combinations and even official ones from VS movies.
|
You can swap the arms off of the new MMPR 2010 mega with the clawzord and the clawzords leggings to make one badass looking Mech.
|
Do you have a Mega Voyager? does the arm that holds the rocket always seem to sag? you can actually clip the rocket to the stomach of the Mega Voyager, so the rocket is held straight with no sagging :)

It also reminds me that it took me forever to realize that the red mecha from the Turbo Rescue Megazord had little pull out feet. |
Actually Sentai Tamashii pointed that out to me on TFW as well :lol I still think it's an awesome feature and I can't believe I never noticed it before.
|
Not sure if this counts, but unlike the Minipla kits of the past, Minipla Gokaioh and Gozyujin have ports that are compatible with Bandai's Action Base display stands or any Gunpla stand.

The Legend Rider Ryuki and Kabuto belts have hidden sounds, cstoys' channel has videos of them, you know, in case you've ever wanted to see the V-Buckle say "Exceed Charge"
|
This one is undocumented and I didn't even know about it until someone else pointed it out: the connecter piece between Figuart Knight's back and Darkwing has a small port on the bottom that you can plug a Tamashii stand into.

I completely forgot about this one, but when I got the OOO Driver last year, I noticed something interesting on the scanner when you turn it on.
There are two little green lights inside the middle light during the startup noise, and if you look at it at the right angle, and coupled with the red lights it ends up looking vaguely like the Taka head. Dunno if this is just coincidence, but the green lights don't show up again during the scanning sequence. I tried to get a picture the best I could, it's a little blurry here, but you can at least make out where to look for it. http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/t...114_225502.jpg |
In Bull mode, you can connect the cannon to it through the back of the right arm. It gives a more consistent look than side mounting.

That was one of my favorite Megazords as a kid. I still have it in storage and if I were living at home right now I'd have already broken it out just to try this. That is awesome. |
The PR samurai tigerzord legs that spin are built using the same hexagon shape as the arm and leg pegs. Also Turbo megazord can hold the samurai blade from the mz and the bullzord cannon like the finisher for the resq megazord. Kinda cool.

It's not much, but it made me giddy when I noticed; SIC Super-1s Power Hands hae Diecast in them :D
|
On the S.H. Figuarts Gokai Silver figure, the instruction manual does not mention this, but the side blades of the Gokai Spear can be detached and inverted to convert the spear into Anchor Mode.

This is a repot from Sentai Tamashii's thread, but I thought people might like to know. :D It might be common knowledge though.
For the Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Morphin Brace, I discovered that if you turn the dial a few full cycles (in any direction), you get a "SPECIAL MODE!" which is just a collection of interesting phrases, like "Good morning!", "Happy Birthday!" and "Superhero Time!" |

I found a much better place to put the fan/lobster tail for the Shinkenger Samuai Ha-Oh:

Not shown but if you reverse the blue green time fliers from thier positions in megazord flight mode (dont kill me its been years scine PRTF) It looks a heck of a lot Like Samus Aran"s spaceship from the Nintendo "Metriod games.
