Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 17 - "Arrival of Meteor" Episode Discussion
 

This is it - the first new rider for Kamen Rider Fourze has appeared and more shall be revealed in this episode "Arrival of Meteor". Who is this new Rider? What powers does he/she have? And more importantly, who is he/she?

He's a bit of a dick. Interesting character! But a dick all the same.

I'm calling it now...

The robot up in Meteor's space station is Kengo's not-dead dad who made the Meteor system based on the Fourze system.

That is assuming it's origins aren't explained in this episode somewhere... Only the subs will tell.

Well....

He's not really a douche,he's just concerned about his friend and that happening to anyone else trying to use one of those dark switches,which fourze will probably help him with said problem to become his friend.Also really like that he fights like Bruce Lee and his regular limit break is amazing

Solid episode. Meteor's an interesting character so far.

I have to ask though - when does the spoiler tag embargo go away, anyhow? I ask given fansubs are floating around out there now. There's nothing in the rules to give guidelines, and I kinda assumed episode discussion would entail spoilers anyway.

(Main reason I care is that iPhones hate spoiler text...)

Really good episode, Fourze is starting to get more interesting to me. I'm liking Meteor as he reminds me quite a bit of Accel from W (They both go by Ryu even!) which is a good thing in my book. I do hope his development through the show will make him more distinct though. Also, when he was speaking to Tachibana I thought for a second it was Libra :lol

A very interesting episode and it looks like we get to see a bit of Virgo next ep!

Thing are gonna start getting interesting now that Meteor is on the scene.
And i guess his switch is also a phone :lol

First off i am addicted to meteor's henshin jingle. Its just so catchy and awesome.

The episode was good too, some cool switch combos nice fight scenes and of course meteor. I also like that we more or less got his backstory this week and they're not dragging it out for x number of episodes. I also think he's just very blindly following his mission/ obeying Tachibana at the moment and he'll be less of a douche when his friend is better.

Definitely looking forward to see where this'll go next week =)

And what's with Sonoda developing Wakana's tch? =p

Why does Meteor make a little kissy mouth when he doesn't like something? I didn't even get it at first,I thought he was flirting with the teacher.

I wonder if it was a Kikaider reference with Ryusei's friend in the hospital being named Jiro and having him use a switch.

That's exactly the same thought I had.

Interesting episode.

Probably more so since I didn't know the female teacher was the scorpion Zodiart. Need to watch the few episodes I skipped!

Gotta say, i'm quite liking Kamen Rider Meteor right now. Though I wonder how long this antagonistic thing will last, cause he reminds me a bit of Terui.

I wonder what's next after Kamen Rider "Disco". Hm, that's why i'm calling him from now on.

I know I'm hoping the secret identity lasts for more than a 2parter though. Would be fun to play with, as then you eventually have a clash where they find out he's Meteor. The whole "broken trust" thing.

Anyone less get an Armor Hero vibe from Meteor's henshin?

Wonder what happens if something intercepts the beam that comes down when Meteor Henshins?

Someone asked that very question on Henshin Justice Unlimited, my answer was: Probably like in Armor Hero, unless you're wearing the equipment nothing will happen.

Whatever the case though, intercepting the beam doesn't have to be about transforming yourself, but it's an excellent tactic for blocking someone else's Henshin from occurring.

Well I think its safe to say Meteor's belt and wrist weapon will be mine. I love the 70's disco music his belt plays and the spinning disco ball :lol Best henshin device I've seen in a long time. I love all the cooky 70's madness they're dropping in this series, which is most likely to honor the era of the original series seeing as this is the anniversary show.

Another lacklustre episode for me. Meteor's design is ok, but the disco stuff really annoys me. It's a pretty average antagonisitc rider introduction, and bar "he wants horoscopes?" this is all as predictable as ever for Fourze.

Still, around this time, OOO grabbed me and snapped my will...so we'll see how things go
