Super Megaforce Toy Packaging Revealed, Key Gimmick Confirmed!
 

Once again, photos from Instagram will give us previews of what’s upcoming for Super Megaforce, though sadly the original source has been deleted.


This time, it’s not a rumor or anything speculative, but rather a look at the card backings for the upcoming toy line.The packaging also confirms that the ranger keys will indeed be part Super Megaforce’s gimmick.

Really curious to see how BOA handles the Ranger Key releases.

I wouldn't count on the keys being the same size as the Mobirates keys or compatible with it since they are being used to activate gimmicks on Cycles and I'm sure other things. Just my guess.

I could see them just going all team packs, or include a key with their figures

I wonder how functional the Megazord's big chest cannon will be after BoA nerfs it.

Ranger Keys, HELL YES!

Nice card design. Definitely going to get at least a couple Super Megaforce things. The inevitable retrofire-styled figure of the Megazord will be a must. Can't imagine I'll get into the keys like I have the cards, but certain one's would be nice. Having the full MMPR team plus both Green and White Rangers would be nice, but beyond that I don't think I'll get many. Hopefully the MMPR team isn't hard to complete. I have a bad feeling they could blind-bag these things...

There was a grand image just like this years ago for the 2010 Dragonzord, and it was found to be Photoshopped.

But, we'll see.

I think the problem with using these as replacements is that the sticker on the inside will be replaced with the English series logo, rather than the series's default emblem.

The packaging is awesome, probably the nicest we've had in a long time, but I shed a tear every time I think about the fact that that piece of cardboard named Troy is meant to be wearing that gorgeous suit. I think I'll just say its still Marvellous if I ever decide to get any of the figures, but I have pretty much every Gokaiger toy (minus non-DX keys) so I doubt I'll get all of them.

We live in a global world and while getting things from Japan might be expensive, it's worth it. I treat the American line as a fun compliment to the Japanese merchandise - like buying bootlegs. It's just fun to have some variation. I don't watch the American show though at all because it's unbearable.

I am 100% prepared to be disappointed by Bandai outside it's 4" figure offerings. They could make some serious money if they just released the DX ranger key sets that Japan passed up on like Zyuranger, Kakuranger, Ohranger, Carranger, Megaranger, Gingaman, GoGoV, and Timeranger. Then, you'd even have people outside of America wanting to get their hands on them, which would boost sales. I don't think it's likely though...

It would be a dream if the Keys were cross-compatible and they helped fill out the holes of the missing DX sets. But I bet the keys will likely be smaller and even cheaper looking and not cross-compatible at all, which is very sad.

man I hope they dont cheap out on the mech I really want a Kanzen Gokiaoh if these are severely cheaped out ill just go and get the Korean versions

You're assuming that the keys would be "deluxe" in the first place, and more along the lines of pre-assembled Candy Keys instead.

I'm not assuming anything, even Candy Toy or Gashapon akin sets would be wonderful, but I doubt we'll get even those sort of quality and I doubt even less we'll get cross-compatible ones.
I wouldn't be surprised if the key collecting aspect was downplayed and the keys were toy-specific and couldn't be used like the Gokaiger keys.

now the question is, will they fit the japanese mobirate or will bandai just make their own

I could be totally wrong, but where are people getting ranger keys for this? It just says that it's an action figure that comes with a bike and can be "launched" by using a key. Even if it is activated with a ranger key, that doesn't sound like it's the same type that were used with the mobirates to me.

Because we are Toku Fans and logic has never stopped us before.

To me I feel like BOA making it like the cyber planet keys from transformers you have the key you insert in to where it needs to go the it unlocks and launches the bike and r vehicle

because every toy in megaforce comes with a card and super megaforce it says it comes with a key, it never said anything about cards and in the show pics you see them using keys even if it's not the same keys for the mobirates, it's still a key gimmick.

i mean what else could it be? the package never stated anything about cards.

The whole "Keys launch cycle" line seems like a pretty good indication as any that they will be using the ranger keys for the next season.Besides, it's ridiculous to think that Bandai will leave that money off the table.

It's just simple critical thinking. Sure, it's possible that it's talking about a complete different gimmick, but it just seems unlikely.

They dumped Hiden Discs pretty completely, though. I wouldn't be surprised if Megaforce Ranger Keys are nowhere near as fun or collectable as the Gokaiger ones. Wouldn't even surprise me if they were toy-specific.
