Ain't It Cool News has posted a new image of FEMA on the set of Godzilla in Vancouver, Canada! More info:
Hey folks, Harry here... with FEMA having a presence in Legendary's Quote:

I'm going to refrain from posting due to my lack of control of making a politcal joke.

Do relief services, military forces or any other such things exist in Toku? Aside from tanks and jets that try and fail to shoot down Kaiju? |
And I suppose to know what FEMA stands for?

Wait, that FEMA? Okay, not sure what that has to do with Canada, but whatever. Not like I care about Godzilla.

You don't care about Godzilla but are replying in this thread. You express a query related to the title, but don't read far enough to understand that it's a set portraying FEMA responding to Godzilla's (or another monster's) destruction. You know, like any other disaster on American soil? Quote:

True, but that's because of the differing stories that take place in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. In the human-sized fight scenes where it comes up, the sentai team itself takes the role to check on the injured or direct civilians away from the monster, and the mecha fight is the conclusion to the danger posed by the monster of the week, where it's assumed all the otherwise obvious things are taken care of offscreen.

I hope the presence of FEMA is just to lend a sense of realism to any scenes of the aftermath of Godzilla's rampage, much like the scenes of the overflowing hospital in the original film. The incompetence of the government and military in the previous American Godzilla really grated on me. I'd much rather they depict people helping others out after the destruction.

So far, I like what Im seeing with the whole new godzilla movie!
