Confirmed - Jason David Frank to Appear in Super Megaforce
 

Without actually coming out and saying it, Jason David Frank posted a picture on his Instagram of the Power Rangers Megaforce logo. As you may remember from an earlier story, Jason David Frank cancelled his upcoming appearance at Puerto Rico Comic Con 2013, citing an important project out of the country that he couldn't miss. The dates for Puerto Rico Comic Con 2013 are the same for the Super Megaforce cameo filming dates.

So we're going to go ahead and call this CONFIRMED - Jason David Frank to Appear in Super Megaforce!

He is the main one I wanted in the show in the first place, and there's no way they wouldn't have been able to get him since he had already stated that he'd do it for basically free. Glad it's confirmed finally.

Awesome! At the point I don't want to hear anymore about the new season. I'm just ready to see how this all turns out.

If anyone has to be on the show, at least its him. Though I hope he's not going to be happy being the only one there.

However, this is a step in the right direction.

I think it would be freaking awesome if they did like in Gokaiger and show an image of what Ranger the guest star is and with JDF it shows every ranger he's ever been in a cool little pose.

I'm afraid this will be the thought process of many fans. While I'm glad we have someone, this is an anniversary to cover the entire franchise (or supposed to be anyway.) Tommy was only in six seasons (MMPR 1-3, Zeo, Turbo, Dino Thunder) and while that's a nice number, it's not a celebration of the franchise by far.

He's really not. I could go on and on about how much Tommy wasn't very Ranger-like compared to his other teammates (his forgetfulness, dropping and losing important items, getting kidnapped, brainwashed, stuck in carbonite... the list goes on and on) to prove that he's not the "best" but he's certainly well remembered.

Tommy is all I need for the 20th every one is just icing on the cake. It would be nice if they could get at lest one actor from every season, but PR can't always be like SS

I honestly don't see how getting one person to show up for super megaforce is redeeming, but you are entitled to feel that way, for me, saban has a LOT to do before they are redeemed in my eyes

Makes me hope that they put him in a situation where he morphs into the Green ranger somehow, i'm probably asking for too much.

By this point though they've charged so far in the wrong direction, even one step in the right direction still means they are way out in the wrong direction.

He's only out there for two days of filming. Along with any other cameo that's showing up. It may be a step in the right direction, but is a 2 and a half minute montage of cameos at the end of the season enough to make you say, "You did good Saban, you did good"?

Does he realize that that's Gokai Silver in that scene?

Nope. One person does not redeem Saban and I think its really stupid to think that it does, even if JDF is your favourite character. I'm actually sad that people actually think that, but unfortunately the majority of people with nostalgia glasses think that.

Yeah, but you'd think he'd do a little research of a scene before he posted it up. I mean, he obviously had to find the image to post it, so he knows about the scene's existence.

Maybe not but JDF should've researched the context of that scene. That's not the actual Green Ranger, it's a Gokai changed Silver. If Saban uses that scene then it'll properly show that's not the actual Dragon Ranger/Green Ranger. He needs to study up before he starts posting things that he thinks look cool. No one's calling it a requirement either. But when the Sentai is the only piece of fiction out there and there is no adaptation yet you'd think he would get his stuff straight first.

I've not watched much of Gokaiger and know nothing about the finer details but if I search 'Dragon Ranger Gokaiger' on google images, it's the first image of the second line.

Im a little confused by the comments her. Does he ever even mention rather thats Gokai Silver or not? I mean he CLEARLY knows of the existence of Gokai silver as he owns the helmet and has the poses with himself vs Gokai Silver.

So unless I am missing something how do we not know he just isnt posting a picture he likes as it IS relevant to a character he helped make popular

Because we have confirmation of the actor playing Gokai Silver, JDF was just taking pictures.

He didn't, the conversation just expanded from me wondering wether he actually knows that isn't his character equivalent in that image.

Still, he took the time to photo-shop the time out so he did have time to find out and I would've thought knowing the context of an image you're on purposely putting up to get a fan-reaction from is something you'd do, but its not a big deal or anything, I was just wondering.

When it comes to JDF who confirmed him? Did he himself or Saban confirm him? NO I dont think so. This is false info when it comes to JDF. I know I work for him and a good friend. Please stop putting his name in rumors. If he is going to be a part of this HE will tell his fans. No one else.

Just thought I would repeat myself here a little…

JDF Canceles his appearance at a convention with dates that corresponds with the Super Mega Force filming, and unless there's something you're not telling us(If you are, like you say good friends with him), it's only natural to assume he's going to the filming. Not to mention JDF himself even stated that he would for sure come back if Saban invited him.

There's no need for you to get so defensive over this, so you really just need to calm down and take it down a notch.
