Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Yellow Division Round 8
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

If anybody's been paying attention to my feedback on Gokaiger or Kamen Rider Wizard, it shouldn't surprise you much that I ended up voting for Tideus. Chip always came off as a mediocre rip-off of Bridge to me and I'd say he's easily the weakest fighter of the Mystic Force team. Tideus is a trained veteran fighter, meanwhile, and not an obnoxious dweeb. I'm probably the only one to vote for him, but I'm doing it all the same.

It wouldnt be, id vote for dustin, id just be afraid that tideus would advence to the next round :lol

I really liked Chip as a character anyway but honestly if I have seen Alien Rangers I have no memory of it at all and to me, that says a lot.

Chip wins because I haven't seen MMAR. Besides, Chip is awesome.

Chip. How is this even a contest? Chip dpesn't have some weird tumor helmet on his head, for one thing. And Chip had the distinction of being.. you know... memorable.

Tideus shares the name with the one guy who single handedly killed Final Fantasy for me.
He has that...*Shrugs*

Chip,even though Tideus reminds me alot of Bill Nye the Science Guy,and he's impossible to beat.

Technically Final Fantasy X's character is Tidus, I have no idea if it is pronounced the same. I don't blame you for not liking him but the rest of FFX was good :)

I liked Auron. I liked the system.
But Tidus killed all desire to finish that game. I hated him.

Pretty much all of these yellows have been landslides so far, so I'm pretty excited for what will happen once we move onto the important rounds.

Honestly? I'll be voting down all the Alien Rangers in this. I didn't really enjoy that whole story arc, or them. At all.

I'll have to remember that the Alien Rangers and the Kakurangers are nothing alike. I almost voted for Tideus because I was thinking of Seikai :lol

Unfortunate side effect of going through all the Rangers. About half of each pool is Emilies and Daxes.

Unless my vote, Taylor, makes it to the finals instead of one of those two, I figure they'll be the ones in the final round for Yellow.

Honestly I'd be able to betray Gia for Lily but that is the only one.

Do you really expect her to get to the finals?

She may not coast on Popularity Power, but she is fairly strong as a character.

Funny thing is,this is a fight.I didnt see anything about acting style or popularity.I think it'll be Taylor and Gia for the finals.

I couldn't say, I tried rewatching Wild Force and I thought it was horrible. In the few episodes I made it through Taylor was just bitter and grumpy, even if the concept of her being a more mature Ranger was an interesting concept.

exactly, if this is a fight taylor would whip gias ass ten times over....wait that didnt sound right. ah yeah it shouls come down to lily and taylor.

I'm actually going to make a point of not voting for either. Because Tideus is a non-character and I hate Chip :lol

Mystic Force was one of the bast season's. I hope more & more every day we get a full season dvd set of Mystic Force.

I don't understand that at all. Chip was one of the enjoyable characters in Mystic Force, a show filled with enjoyable characters. He was the cheerleader. The gung-ho always believes cheerleader that everytime needs.

Really? Whenever I look on Amazon all I can find is loose volumes at ridiculously high prices.
