Jason Smith - More Than Just a Cameo in Super Megaforce
 

Everyone is well aware of the tweeted photos of Ciara Hanna (Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers Megaforce) and Jason Smith (Red Ranger in Power Rangers Jungle Fury). But now thanks to Fury Diamond and his blog at RangerCrew, we can shed more light on what exactly Jason Smith is doing in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Jason Smith, or Casey the Red Ranger in Power Rangers Jungle Fury, is going to have his own tribute episode in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. But more than that, Jason Smith is also now WRITING episodes in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

That's an interesting development - return for a tribute and stay on board to write some episodes. Jason Smith is a Power Rangers and Super Sentai fan, having watched GoBusters and the current Kyoryuger series in Japan.

What do you guys think? Is having a Power Rangers Alumni write episodes for Power Rangers a good thing? Discuss away!

I'm not a fan of Jungle Fury at all. In fact I thought it was terrible. But I always like to see someone who was passionate about what they did and keeps coming back for more.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Jungle Fury but that's because I often forget it existed haha But having a veteran Ranger return not just for an episode but to write some as well? Can't be a bad thing.

This has to be the absolute best news I've heard come out of Super Megaforce yet. I loved Casey in Jungle Fury (So much he is my favorite Red Ranger of the Disney era), and I'm sure he'll do PRSMF justice. I cannot wait.

I guess I'm a minority in actually liking Jungle Fury. :p It had one of the catchiest theme songs and AJ was a refreshing change in the "Teenagers with attitude" template.

Plus battle with the spirit rangers helping the Jungle Fury teem was epic.

Yup, I'm hoping it to be a good one and not riding on nostalgia and thinking that todays audience will fall for cornball writing and stupid comedy relief like the Bulk/Skull/Spike segments.

Hey guys, I'm sorry to announce that it looks like I will not be appearing in the Power Rangers Super Megaforce reunion. Like with many of my fellow cast-mates, Saban Brands did not follow through with the terms that we discussed. I'm not sure why, but I guess that's just the way it goes ...money was not the issue. I am not here to dog Saban Brands -- not my style, but I didn't want you guys continuing to hold onto false hope. Thanks for your continued support. #BlueCrew

Jungle Fury is one of my favourite iterations and I love Casey, so this is the best news so far.

this awesome casey was my fave red in disney as well i hope he wrote his tribute due to how he ended up being master at the end of the show

I enjoyed Jungle Fury way more than I thought I would and liked Casey, so I'm glad it's getting a tribute episode.

I want to see his written episodes. If he's a Super Sentai fan, then that could mean interesting things if Saban gives him space to work.
