The Avengers
So, who's going to see this movie in the U.S. this weekend? I'm gonna go see it on Sunday.
|
I saw it last Friday and it was every bit as amazing as I expected it to be. That's all I'll say for now.
|
I'm off to see it tomorrow, can't wait =D

i know i shouldn't double post, but i wanted to bump the thread ( flutters eyelashes ) =)
So i saw the film last night... it was good... Don't get me wrong i enjoyed it, but it wasn't amazing. There were numerous things that bugged me, that for the sake of spoilers i wont go into. Maybe it's just me being picky, i found both ironman films a bit lackluster along with Thor and Hulk's. Cap's film is awesome though, and prior to it i wasn't exactly a big fan of Captain America. Anyway, Avengers...It just feels too much to me like a tester for Avengers 2. Again, i did enjoy it, some parts were awesome but overall it just felt like it was missing something. |
I won't be posting here again till I see the movie for myself :D

I just got back from it myself. As a comic shop manager and avid fan I could not have been more pleased. This movie has completely changed the game for comic book movies. The bar has been set WAY high. It had literally every good moment I ever thought I'd want to see in an Avengers movie; Thor Vs Hulk, Iron Man Vs Thor, Hawkeye actually being somewhat of a badass, a competent villain that almost wins, the perfect cameo for the next movies' villain. Everything went off perfectly. I'm taking back nearly every bad thing I've ever said about Joss Whedon, almost everything.

A. How can anyone dislike Joss Whedon? He's amazing.
B. Den-O, you manage a comic shop? That's awesome. C. Avengers was spectacular. Considering seeing it again. I dressed up as Spider-Man to the theater :P |
|
Got back a couple hours ago. Avengers might be the best movie i've ever seen (I previously said that for The Dark Knight).
It was amazing, and fantastic and fun. And I had REALLY high expectations, I'm a very big Whedon fan, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Even though I love Batman more than any of these characters, I don't think Dark Knight Rises could be more enjoyable than Avengers. |
I don't think any other movies can top this, this year. There is only one thing I would of changed, but other than that, this movie was fantastic. Make sure you guys stay in theaters all the way till the post-credit scene.
Rating 9.9/10 |

Funny thing I was thinking is that i enjoyed it so much i really wanted to think of some things that weren't so spectacular or that i didnt like so that i could tell people about it without sounding like a fan-boy, but i just can't think of anything I didn't enjoy. I haven't seen Thor or Captain America. But i didn't need to see those movie prior to this one. It just held it's own. So many great moments through out the entire film. A definite DVD preorder. So many moments i wanted to see again and again.

Yeah the US post credit scene is just a group shot of the team eating in a wrecked restaurant after they save New York. They all just sit there awkwardly eating and trying not to look at each other. Just eating silently. :lol It's hilarious even if it's not important to the story at all.

Saw the movie last Sunday, and it is easily the best CB and/or superhero movie ever made. Great action, characterization, and humor, plus the final battle scene was incredible. I can't wait to see it again! 10/10 |
I saw the movie back on Saturday. I was higly impressed. Great action, clever humor, and good character interaction. This movie is by far the best one I've seen in recent memory, and will probably be my favorite summer movie of all time. The only downside is that once its out of theaters, we'll have to wait a few months for the DVD. But that is small wait compared to the years building up to this masterpiece of comic book films.

Saw Avengers again this past Monday evening, took my brother for his first time, and my wife went again too. We all still loved it.
Due, in large part, to how much we liked both Hulk and Banner in Avengers, I bought Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton, and we watched it last night. My wife didn't care for it much, especially Norton as Banner. We've watched The Italian Job too often, and she just sees him as the villain, but I also thought that there was nothing in it to make us really care about Banner. But I really liked the film, and I really liked the Hulk in it. It's nowhere near as good as Iron Man, Captain America, or Avengers, but I felt it was a decent film. |
Loki's face after the "Puny God" scene was just priceless :lol
