Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Yellow Division Semi-Finals Round 2
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Lily Chilman has been chosen as our first finalist, which means there's only one spot left and two Yellow Rangers vying for it. They're probably two of the most popular, too, so this should be interesting.

Me and Sentai may have overhyped her a little :lol but she still wasn't as insulting realised as Kira was, or as useless and forgettable a Ranger.

In nine episodes Gia has made a more lasting impression than Kira did through a whole series.

At this point, I just hope we pull another miracle like with Carter...

Nope. I love the character. One of my all-time favorites.

And the fact that she's currently in the lead also indicates we aren't alone.

In all honesty, I think Kira is one of the stronger Yellows, in the sense that I can remember what she did.

That is the problem.

She has a hive mind legion of fans, despite doing fuck all to earn it, other than anoraks who think she is quirky because they've never gone outside to realise that no one in the entire world exists like Kira, characters like Kira only populate live action Disney shows.

I voted Gia.Only thing Kira has is a scream....and flight.Super Dino mode isn't really too super.They just dash by and cut people with their spikes,which is what Kira does normally anyways.

Seriously, Kira is my favorite Yellow. I have to vote for her.

No blind favortism here, I voted for Kira because I think she could honestly beat Gia 1 on 1. Kira would still get the snot beat out of her but she'd win. They're very evenly matched, both being roughly the same age and background (i.e. no military/police training). Both have a blaster for long range attacks and a specialty weapon for close range attacks. I think that, combined, Kira's shout, SDM, and limited flight might give her the slight advantage she needs.

How can she shout in the helmet?

Why can't she take it off? She can even use it as a projectile weapon.

And then she'd expose her head.
Is the trade off really that worth it?

No one goes for the head in Power Rangers—no one.

I'd think if she used her Sonic Scream in her helmet the echo and reverbiration of the sonic sound waves would bounce around, amplify in the enclosed space, and rupture her eadrums if not also do massive trauma to the soft tissue. Ears/Nose/Brain/Eyes. Conner and Ethan would have easier times using their powers in suit, but Kira would almost certainly kill herself if she tried.

She'd shatter her visor before all that would happen (Outside the eardrum thing), but yeah. She can't use it while helmeted.

But I'm fairly certain Gia has some kind of card to make her regret pulling off her helmet should she try.

Bad Hair Day Dynamic!

Kira using her scream in-helmet would just be suicide either way. It gives Gia an opening, and her ass on a platter.

You can breathe on the Moon in the Power Rangers universe, in addition to the fact that you can hear in space. Sound does not work the same way in that universe as it does in ours. However, you do bring up a good point, but if Kira were to remove her helmet and scream at Gia, the momentary pause as Gia clutches her ears in agony will give Kira enough time to repeatedly bash Gia with her helmet in a (fairly comical) pre-finisher, after which she will initiate Super Dino Mode and blow Gia to smithereens.

Hers gave her wings that were so thin you could read a newspaper through it.

All of the Super Dino Modes granted the same powers. Kira actually received the better upgrade (mathematically speaking), since she received wings with which she could fly in addition to the boost in strength.
