S.H. Figuarts Akibaranger S2 Inordinate Powers and then some!
 

If you've been keeping up with Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 then you know this wacky awesome series brings the same level of greatness that the first season did. Including the Inordinate Powers of the official heroes!

Well on display right now at the Akihabara show room are the S.H. Figuarts releases for Season 2's powers! The Dairen Bomber & Zyuranger Buckler will both come with the Season 2 release of Akiba Blue while the Hurricane Ball will come with Yellow. Apparently no Inordinate power comes with Red as of this writing.

Kabuto for me! I kinda want these now. I like how the put the weapons with the Akibarangers now and not with the Ranger they get their power from. I don't care much for DekaRed but I have to get him to have the Deka Wappa :/

Darn! I already have the Season One Akibarangers and therefore decided to skip the Season 2 ones because I prefer the Blue and Yellow Season One helmets, but now I'm tempted to buy them all! Sneaky move! I'm sure heaps of others are reconsidering too.

And now preordering the season 2 girls was totally worth it :D

The DaiRen Bomber comes with Blue and the ZyuBuckler with Yellow (perhaps that's supposed to be the other way around, but that's how it was listed). The Hurricanger part will most likely come with HurricaneRed in August.

No, the Dairen bomber and Zyu Buckler come with Blue and the Hurricaneger mace with Yellow. That's what the source for this states anyway.

Man they're really trying to sell the new AkibaBlue.

Two Inordinate Powers for that price seems like a pretty good package over all.

The weapon Yellow is holding is NOT a mace but a flail (sometimes referred to as a morning star). A mace is a stick with a smooth or spiked ball at one end. It could also be considered an exaggerated ball-and-chain.

I guess you have to be watching Akibranger for these to be appealing. Guess I should start season 2 one of these days.

As much as I would want those powers, I'll pass. I would rather get Figuarts of characters I need over just different versions. Now to be fair, I'll probably get the new AkibaBlue sometime because she is a completely brand new character.

I don't understand how people can pass on these. Yes the figures are slight remolds. But the weapons they come with can only be gotten with these releases. You aren't paying for just a simple remold anymore, there's original stuff in there that makes it worth owning. Maybe that's just me and my wild love for this show, it's possible. But I still don't understand it, it seems like a win win to me.

Note that I don't care for Akibaranger and never intend on getting this, but...

When I first saw the announcement for the new Akiba Blue and Yellow, I scoffed. It was ridiculous for just new heads.

Then when the cameo Rangers were revealed in Figuart form and they all have only indicated they come with incredibly minor accessories to complete an Akibaranger look, if one so desired... but saw people talking about these Inordinate Power weapons, I was left confused. Why weren't they announced with them like the last weapons were?

Now that we know Blue and Yellow are coming with these weapons... There is no reason not to get them, if you're a fan (especially Blue, being a new character). They're still at ordinary Figuart prices and come with some amazing accessories. It all seems very worth it.

Because I can either buy AkibaRed 2.0, AkibaYellow 2.0, and AkibaBlue 2.0 or I can RyuuRanger, DragonRanger, and TyrannoRanger. I am not working from June 8th through around Aug 15thish, thus, I don't get paid. I have what I need set aside for rent, Anime Expo, and already decided Figuarts. And the birthday money I get next week is going to go for some other Figuarts.

To be honest, I wasn't really at all interested in the season 2 Akibaranger figuarts, despite how much i love the series.

Yellow has such few differences that there didn't seem to be a need to own her. But the fact that Blue is a new character made it all the more tempting.

I already own the season 1 Akiba Yellow and Blue. And if it weren't for the fact that you're getting Inordinate Powers, I would've skipped them entierly.

My original logic was:

Super Akiba Red: Definite buy
Akiba Blue 2: Well she's a new character so sure
Akiba Yellow 2: Ehh, I'm getting the others. Wouldn't feel right not getting her.

I'll almost certainly get the season 2 Blue eventually because as noted she is a new character. But I will wait for her to hit clearance. Same with Yellow. I can do without what is essentially a $10 "have to own it as soon as possible!" tax with these. They will not sell out. The originals didn't. Too many other things I want to make these virtually identical figures a priority.

And if they do somehow sell out, then I'm fine doing without those accessories.

I'm worried about shelf-space, to be honest. I prefer the look of the Season 1 outfits and I can't justify a shelf where I have two of pretty much the same toys when I'm already worried about fitting all these Figuarts in. I'll probably crack and get them for cheap online some time, but right now I'm having to restrain myself, as much as I want the powers.

So Luna now comes with the Mighty Morphin belt and the Kamehane Cannon? God dam Bandai! Still, good value...
