Voice commands being a big feature... eh. If it works for me, fine. But I KNOW there'll be a mountain of complaints of it not working.

Being able to use a single command to switch out your inputs though? Sounds really useful and convenient. And the snap feature... could be intrusive but I can see how it's helpful.

So voice commands and other things based off of Kinect, obviously... But it sounds like it has to be synced to YOU to respond (to avoid errant commands perhaps?) But sounds like that'd just be a massive pain for anyone else to then want to use..

Fuck, I don't like this EA partnership being so prominent in this conference... At least they're all just sports games I don't give a shit about... But damn, definitely want some clarification here. It sounded like he said Fifa 14 would ONLY be on XboxOne. But it could've just been the special content he was alluding to. If it's the former, though, people are gonna be maaaaad.

Because, as a gamer, that's what I want. Not escapism, but to be able to play fantasy football or soccer without a pen and paper.

Like 360 was a great name to start with :lol least PS4 makes sense. I don't want one, but it makes sense.

PS4 is set in stone because you can't just go off the rails. They even re-released the Playstation and CALLED it the PSOne.

And I owned each of them. Except the PS4. I don't like the controller, I don't like the light bar, I don't like it auto-sharing everything I do in a game, I don't like it networking, I don't like... pretty much everything.

A video on it said everything I feel. "Nothing comes between you and the game, now here's a bunch of stuff that comes between you and the game!"

So...are those always online rumors true?

Something else to hate! XBox's online experience S U C K S. Know why I bought a PS3 originally? The only reason? Free Online. I shouldn't have to spend 400-600 dollars on your damn system just to pay another 150-250 a year to take it online! And then you expect me to buy content for games on top of that!

Huh. They're actually making Call of Duty: Ghosts sound interesting to me. Campaign focus instead of multiplayer and a whole new game engine... God dangit haha.

What the FUCK are you talking about? That's 4 times as expensive as Xbox Live actually is AND no Xbox version was that expensive. And ignoring paying for it, I have never had a major problem with Live.

I....have to agree with Electric Turahk...$600? If I remember correctly the 360 retailed for $300 or $400 when it first came out. The PS3 was $600. Yes, having to pay sucks but I will say this: Xbox Live never got hacked. Anyway...have they confirmed or shot down the always online DRM rumors?

Well, reveal's over. Biggest things were EA Sports titles, Forza 5, and CoD: Ghosts. Rest will be at E3, but at least that's pretty soon.

I'm rather pissed they didn't address the always-online crap. And there's rumors out today again about not accepting used games, which also wasn't mentioned. (So why people are saying it, who knows.) But I REALLY hope that's talked about at E3 then.

And sorry for the harsh tone, but in the three different places I'm trying to talk about the XboxOne, SOMEBODY started gushing about Playstation and how this reveal was stupid. I don't want to talk about the Playstation or I'd be making a thread about it. I'm sick of fucking pointless complaints like that. You play on what you want to and I'll play on what I want to and why the hell can't we leave it at that? I'm not going to attack your favorite console, but everywhere I go somebody attacks me.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If that always online DRM rumors prove to be true...I'm either going Sony or Nintendo this generation.

Well, the conference was...pretty boring. I'll admit, the specs of the console seem and look fairly nice. The system itself looks decent, but it's a little to boxy. The controller looks the same in all honesty.

As for what we were shown, outside of some of the graphics, nothing impressed me a whole lot. The only two things I found great was the announcement for the Halo TV show, and the stuff for Ghosts. Other then that, everything else seemed boring as all hell.

I think it's safe to say I'm sticking with my original decision to go with PS4.

Dude, it's cool. The PS isn't perfect. I could do without the weekly maintance checks, the Updates that only automatic if you have PS+, and the account hacking. Especially the account hacking. I just never understand the appeal of the 360. The XBox I loved, I miss Fable. Loved me some Fable. I just don't like buying a system and then having to pay to be online. If they did away with that I'd ignore everything else.

I was impressed by this. There's some rumors they didn't address ( and really the used games won't bother me since I buy all new), but how is that grounds to hate everything and jump ship? Just confused by it all and staying faaar way from them lol.

The controller does look the same, but that's fine. I love the 360 controller. It DOES look, however, like they went back to the old d-pad design prior to the (VERY RECENT) redesign that made it more functional. I don't get that at all. It looks way too mushy.

And, well, looking boxy is expected for an Xbox? Haha I dunno, aesthetics don't bother me too much. But it is nice and sleek.

Long as it doesn't have a giant X like the original had. Never liked that. Great system, just never liked the X.

Nothing about the reveal totally sold it to me. It was definitely more 'entertainment' focused then 'game' focused.

And the games shown where just meh. Also it was an incredibly American (Shock horror, biggest market and home country I know, but- apologies for dragging in another game company- I guess I've been spoilt by Nintendo's region specific directs) centered show. Different Tv set ups and stuff in the UK, so the TV planner stuff will probably not happen here (Much like WiiTV or whatever)

Personally I'm looking forward to E3 to see more from all companies. No body is really wowing me at the moment on the home console front.

Were there any XBox standards in the reveal? Like Fable, or Halo, or something? Seems weird that all it was was CoD and EA games. Unless they want that Brofist Frat Boy casual market of gamer that only buy Madden and CoD.

That's actually the point. It's an entertainment system, not a gaming system. But that's what the 360 evolved into, and other consoles of the current and next generation are also the same.

When it comes down to it, I buy it for games though. But enough people will use the other features that it's worth it. And it broadens the appeal a whole lot.

No. :( Those were actually the two games I talked about wanting reveals for in my club's Facebook group during the conference lol. And when the 343 rep came out I got so excited. Not that the TV series isn't a great announcement, but I wanted Halo 5 lol.

I'm sure they'll be at E3 though, as overrated as it is to me too. Well, I really hope they will be.
