Help preserve the tokusatsu industry
|
The stuff about no proper storage facility for Toku props saddens me. I'd hate to think we'd lose iconic suits and props because there's no so much as a warehouse for the important stuff. :(
|
Yeah; at the very least you'd think that they'd have some sort of museum/archive for all these props/outfits.

Sometimes it's a matter of space.
Toei has to order/create dozens of custom motorcycles in the span of 5 years, for example. If you had a museum with a limited amount of space, which would be the more important display? The Zyurangers' suits, or their motorcycles? |

I can see them selling those bikes.

Show props are sometimes put to auction (Not sure if Toei does it, but I have seen other production companies do so), but I don't think they'd sell the bikes.
It sucks that sometimes things get thrown away, but storing something like a character's motorcycle just takes up space for a prop they know they'll never reuse, outside of possibly the crossover movie. |

If they want to ship some items to the States, I'd be happy to safeguard and preserve by contract some costumes, props, etc., for their future use or display. Massachusetts is pretty safe from natural disasters. Share the wealth!

Yeah, Massachusetts is great! Open up a museum!
Or have it all chill in my room. :lol |
