Tommy Returns as the original Green Ranger in Super Megaforce - On Set Photos
 

I think the picture says enough.

Jason David Frank has confirmed via images from his official Facebook page that is has indeed returned for a cameo role in Power Ranger Super Megaforce with two totally awesome (they are awesome) pictures.

The first photo is an on-set scene that looks to take place during the Legandary War (a scene where ALL the Power Rangers are fighting). He is standing with Hector David Jr, Brittany Pirtle, Patricia Ja Lee, Selwyn Ward, and Danny Slavin. It's interesting to note that he is holding the Green Ranger helmet used in Power Rangers Dino Thunder (20 years and they STILL can't get the suit right, haha!).

In the second image, which looks to be just for fun, he's given his Dragon Shield to the Green Samurai Ranger.

While it probably is just for fun the Shield doesn't look half-bad on Samurai Green. Interesting that they went with In Space for TJ instead of Turbo, though In Space is more popular.

I think they decided to put each character in their fan-favorite suit.

For the hardcore fans, Tommy was always the coolest as MMPR Green.
TJ and Cassie were more popular during In Space than Turbo.

In the background you can see Turbo Pink, Operation Overdrive Red, Operation Overdrive Black, Zeo Gold, and if you look closely behind Selwyn Ward (In Space Blue), you can see the Magna Defender.

I think I see White Dino behind OO Black. In Space Silver and SPD Red behind In Space Pink.

The Dragon shield makes the Green Samurai suit actually look pretty badass.

Bandai should totally make a figure out of that for fun.

Makes sense, I just thought some more variety would be nice.

I couldn't tell if it was Dino Thunder White or Zeo Gold. I went with Zeo Gold because it looked shiny versus "white/black". But you may be right!

Looks like he's transferring the shield over to him to me.

The vest has the black stripes on white with a gold trim, unlike Zeo Gold which is just, well, gold.

1. Why is he green and not DT Black?

2. Why is there silver on his helmet?

There using the Disney version of the Green ranger suit which for some reason has those Silver stripes.

Yeah, seriously. Whose bright idea was it to ruin the helmet with silver stripes when the rest of the outfit is all gold? Ugh. :thumbdown

It's the Disney helmet, and I think the one used for stunt work during the original run.

Personally, I like it. The Gold would look off on the helmet, the silver for me works.

Dragonzord is primarily silver, black, gold and green. I think the stripe represents Dragonzord well.

Yea, but I looked closer. There's no SPD Red. I saw Mystic Force Red and Green, OO Black and Red, a couple from In Space. And White Dino back there somewhere. But no SPD Red.

Tommy back, as Green, yes! It'd be pretty cool if those who were in multiple series could be seen shifting in between their different Ranger forms. Or if the Ranger steps forward and like energy forms off of them and manifests itself as their other Ranger forms. I mean, pretty sure Saban wouldn't actually do that, but if I were director/in charge of special effects, that's what I'd do.
