Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Blue Division Round 7
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

So I've mentioned before that the Blue pool is, in my opinion, probably the weakest of the six we'll be going through. There are really only a handful of Rangers in this category that I honestly find memorable, and even fewer that are memorable in a good way. I've actually been a little worried that we'd end up getting two of the stronger Rangers matched up in the early rounds and leave the later matches less interesting.

So far, that still ain't happening. Here's your next landslide, gang.

Billy, I don't even remember Lucas. I love Time Force, but like Ryo in Digimon Tamers every series has a hiccup and unfortunately Lucas was that hiccup.

Yeah, I don't remember much Lucas did either.

Billy on the other hand is one of the rare instances of an MMPR character actually growing as the show progressed.

Him being the MacGyver of the original five didn't hurt much either.

Dammit, childhood hero vs a blue from one of my favourite series. As this isn't a popularity contest, I'll go for Billy.

I much prefer Time Force to MMPR.

But Lucas was pretty much a non character, his only interesting moments being that one time Nadira thought he liked her, and that was only interesting because of Ransik's actions, not Lucas himself.

Billy hands down. Why are we even debating this?

Billy. I was very nerdy when MMPR started and watching Billy helped.

I voted for Kevin last round and am proud of it! No need to be ashamed :lol

But, I was telling the truth. I really don't remember either one all that well.

I voted for Billy. In my opinion, Billy was the best Blue Ranger character that was ever on Power Rangers because he was a genius but not conceited nor was he a total jerk.

I went with Lucas. I'm certain he could take Billie in a fight. If I remember right. Billie wasn't that great of a fighter.

Either that or it was a sympathy vote for Lucas. Either way Billies winning this round

In all fairness, Lucas is not only a skilled race car driver but also a trained police officer. Beyond that though, he doesn't really bring that much to the all-star team whereas Billy has years of experience and his technological prowess.

to be fair i may have played devils advocate for kevin last round but he still didnt get my vote. in this instance who is silly enough to vote against the macgyver of power rangers...

Billy is my favorite Power Ranger, he is brilliant and awesome; Lucas is a dick atleast from what I've seen of Time Force.

All Lucas has going for him is his racing prowess.
And Billy owns a flying car. :I

Yeah, this was a very easily predicted blow-up. Let's not draw this out any longer. Billy moves on, Lucas continues to make no impression on anyone.
