Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Blue Division Round 8
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Sky for being the better ranger and the fact I haven't seen any Megaforce.

I have the episode Robo Knight saved to my laptop.
If by some act of Gosei Noah pulls a win off I could screen cap a better pic for you.

I could probably dig something out of Robo Knight that reaches that tier for Noah.
But that'd require me to watch all of Robo Knight again.

The thing I love about that picture of Shane is that it was for his match with Andross and it perfectly captured the mood of a dude who knew he was about to get slaughtered.

Sky is the better Ranger and fit for the team together with his skills and abilities.

I'm curious if you'll vote for Robo Knight due to memories of GoseiKnight or not :lol

I don't think Tori really has much chance unless she constantly goes up against weaker characters (Both power wise and popularity wise).

I'm kind of curious which way I'll go to.

Or Flynn. I can see Flynn going the distance.

I guess we'll find out eventually.
6th/Extra tourney will probably be the most interesting since Red, so I can't wait.

Anyway, will the Blue Centurian and Phantom Ranger be included?

Also, you can actually include the Turbo Rangers and In Space Rangers (Well, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos) at the same time, because Turbo confirmed that there exists a team of robot duplicates of the Turbo rangers that have the same powers and memories as the originals.

Judging by how well the Turbos have faired so far, involing their robot duplicates is giving whoever they face an easy win into the next round.

You don't have to bring up that they're the robot duplicates.
But it does present the opportunity for all the Turbo characters, not just TJ and Justin.

However, considering the general consensus towards Turbo, it may be a nebulous point.

In my head, I'd pit Burai vs Kou.
Burai'd win because Kou is a pervert. :p

I still regret that I never made it to Kou in Dairanger.
But I was just so bored with the series I couldn't keep pushing myself to continue...

Couldn't you just have skipped ahead to when Bou was introduced?

I'm not a fan of skipping around.

Without skipping around I never would've seen Beet and Stag introduced in Go-Busters, I would've clawed my own eyes out five episodes before they came in.

That's fair enough. I'm gonna need to give GoBus a watch soon, and I may have to skip to their introduction, but I'm going to try to resist doing so.

Random useless trivia: There's an episode where Burai is shown as a child and it's Kou's actor playing him. Logically, that means Kou would be Burai as an adult :p

And that means AU Wataru is actually Jan! :lol

And BeetBuster wields the Galloping Thunder Element!

Phantom Ranger is a 6th, Blue Centurion is not in this.

That's not going to happen. Tommy's only one character, so he's only in the 6th poll once.

Why not?

Because he falls into the same category as Ninjor and Auric the Conqueror - random ally character that helps fight but isn't a proper Ranger. The Phantom Ranger gets a pass since he's typically considered the official Sixth Ranger of Turbo.

I guess that makes sense.
It's unfortunate.

The Sixth Ranger poll is going to be interesting, I think. There are a lot of characters that are kind of hard to peg down exactly whether they're a Sixth or not (especially from Jungle Fury and Dino Thunder).

I'm rather curious where the Wolf and Rhino rangers from JF will be placed, in addition to whether not-Rio and Kamille will participate.

I sincerly hope Jared is in this somewhere. I loved Jared/Dai-Shi in Jungle Fury.
