Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Blue Division Round 9
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

And here we are again, the last preliminary round and, once again, we have an odd number of Rangers, necessitating a three-way fight. Or, more precisely, a two-way fight with a token Alien Ranger wasting some space.

I like Ethan the most out of all of the Dino Thunder rangers. He's not an airheaded moron like his cohorts and he's not some "Famed artist" who draws mediocre pictures like Trent. While his video game knowledge reeks of "The writers played Super Mario Bros and saw a video of Sonic once!" He was still a fun character, written competently, and was fairly strong.

That, and I don't like Blake. Then again, I don't like any of the Ninja Storm rangers outside of Cam.

Cestro...Yep. He existed alright.

Ethan gets my vote.

Ethan's TriceraShield is awesome, Cestro's name is a tad squicky if you think about it too long, and Blake has awesome Electric Beetle Powers.

Why is Ethan listed as "Ethan Blake" on the poll?
That almost threw me off when voting.

Gee, I wonder who will win. The character from the series most people hate by default, the character from the series most people hate by default, or the character from the series most people love by default.

I'm going for Ethan, he was alright, Dino-Thunder was cool, I don't remember Blake, and seriously? The alien rangers? Nope.

I went with Blake. I'll admit, it is mainly for nostalgia reasons. *Looks towards Navy Thunder Ranger action figure.*

I want to vote Ethan...but I remember him not being as good an actor as the other two (he wasn't BAD, just not as good)...then again, we're voting on character, and not acting ability, and I love Dino Thunder. But I like the Navy Ranger too...I'm going to have to think about this one.

Ethan was good, I think all the actors were good, one of my top favorite seasons. I voted for Blake because I think he had some good fighting ability and for me, probably my favorite blue.

Well damn, Switch. You actually found a way for me to vote for Ethan. Well played, Switch, well played. I didn't like anything having to do with the Alien Rangers, so that's an automatic no "Rancid Onion... Alien Ranger... Rancid Onion! omnomnom". Blake was soulless, emotionless, and spent more time trying to get in Tori's pants than fighting Lothor. And then we have Ethan. The weakest member of the otherwise bulletproof Dino Thunder team. I like nerdy Rangers. I just always felt they took Ethan and made him a little to Nerdy. And I was prepared not to vote for him and fight as hard for him as I did for Kira and Conner. ... But then you put him up against Butt-Head and Emotionless Lothario over there. So I voted Ethan.

Cestro.Ethan is from Dino Thunder and I want Tommy to win from that series,Blake is...Blake,but Cestro not only appeared twice during the series,but also tried to save the life of the one Blue who's probably going to win it all.

I guess I need to rewatch Dino Thunder, because I honestly don't remember anyone beyond Ethan even resembling a good character.
Then again, you have vapid reasons for hating Justin, so who knows.

Credit to Cestro to being the most memorable Alien Ranger for reasons other than being "female leader that isn't red" though.

I loved the Thunder Rangers, but even more than that the Thunder Rangers had mad skills. Way stronger than either of the other Rangers in this poll, so yeah, Blake.

We all know Ethan will win though, since Dino Thunder is one of those cool to like series that get a free ride and it's been paired with two cool to hate series who struggle to get votes from insecure members throughout the matches. It isn't a popularity poll, but in matches like this, it is a popularity contest through and through.

Eh, I don't think Ninja Storm's unpopular enough to be 'cool to hate' loke the Alien Rangers though.

Not quite on the same level, granted, but basically no series stands a chance next to Dino Thunder, other than MMPR.

I went with Blake but I can see why people would vote for Ethan. Cestro however?

You say that, but the 2 winners so far have been from neither MMPR or Dino Thunder.

I'm fairly certain In Space, Time Force, and R.P.M would beat out Dino Thunder in terms of deing beloved by fans. Hell, maybe some others too.

Thank God for that! I'd have cried for a while if Kira made it onto the team.

Time Force so far hasn't got by just by being a series that people liked, In Space either. RPM has though.

And as stated before, neither have MMPR and Dino Thunder. Which, of c o urse, means......... that this argument is essentially pointless.

When rounds are forgettable but feature a MMPR, people default to the MMPR, rather than evaluating who is the better Ranger.

Kira also knocked out LOADS of far superior characters, and Rangers, because everyone (of her deluded fans at least) wants to dick her.

I cannot begin to tell you what was wrong with everything about that statement. Firstly, please watch the language a little. Secondly, did it occur to you that people like female rangers for more than weather or not they want to bed them? And thirdly, Kira was a strong character and a equally strong ranger.

Has that really hapened that often? I must've missed when people lined up in droves to vote for Aisha and Rocky then.

And...why must Kira fans be deluded? Can't they just loke the characyer. Just because they're voting for a character you don't like doesn't mean the fans of 'em are deluded or insecure or anything.
