Akibaranger 5th Episode Discussion
OT have a bunch of new raws. Akibaranger episode 5 is one of them.
Sad that Yumeria or should we say Yuko's mother had been dead all this time. But it was nice to see how Yuko remembered her mother and how much she loved her. The fight scene was nice, especially since we got to see the Inordinate/Penultimate powers used again.
Still waiting for the fansubs, but I did catch the episode 6 preview. Interesting to see Red Hawk back in action, but does this mean Toei was able to get the original actor to at least do his voice?
This was actually an emotional episode, despite the many aspects that make it so wrong at the same time.
Wow, that was a surprisingly emotional episode. This show is really growing on me.
i continue to love this show more and more every week, just so fantastic
Episode 5 was such a bitter sweet episode :cry

I just watched the subs. What a awesome coincident that this is released close to "Mother's Day" here in the US.
*EDIT* Actually it's Mother's Day in Japan at the same time. |
Man, this episode tugged some heart strings...
I don't really get Akibaranger... It's so light hearted and childish... Yet still delievers a pretty big punch if you are paying attention to the subtle things... |
Kind of a sad episode. :( But still fun to watch.
Okay, I was already loving this show for the epic skewering it gives to otaku culture, but now it springs all this legit character stuff on me? Hell yeah.
ok, well this series just moved from niche to downright good!
This could be my ONLY favorite episode, because it's fun because she can get to see her deceased mother. It makes me think I have someone as a friend that has my same interest.
But I never except that ending like this tho... Sad... This mother was played by the same person who played Ash (Satoshi) from Pokemon (Pocket Monsters). |
