Bahamut Phantom? Final Fantasy jokes coming in 3...2...

Next time on Kamen Rider: DECADE Tsukasa will find out that he has despaired and is suddenly a Wiz--- wait... what?

...did this episode air already in Japan? Went to watch it as I always do this time on Tuesday and it wasn't on Good Drama.

I really liked this episode. FINALLY some background on Haruto. Wish it had happened a lot sooner, but it was well done. It explains a lot about why he came off as a loner for so long. The new info about the Sabbat and the Philosopher's Stone was intriguing, as were Gremlins thoughts on all this.

The commercial placement was pretty funny, I thought.

Really bummed to see the gate falling into despair at the end of last week's episode really was just a throwaway gag. Words honestly kinda fail me right now..it just makes the whole thing feel like a joke, we've never had a gate fall into despair, yet there are plenty of phantoms around (maybe Wiseman should reconsider throwing away the ones he has to try and make more if he REALLY needs such a large number in order to hold the Sabbat again), and when was the last time Haruto actually went in and killed a gate's inner phantom? It's almost like the series just kinda gave up on that whole schtick.

That said, this episode is definitely one of the better in the series so far. Nice getting some real backstory for Haruto, even if it is so late in the series, and he's really coming into his own as an actual character. I liked his interaction with Shunpei at the start, just them having fun. Also enjoyed the conversations between Sora and Wise and Sora and Medusa.

As for the White Wizard's request. Well the stone was purple, something tells me it's for Witch.

So they need a lot of mana to summon the stone. Sounds like the Grail War to me.

It really feels like this episode should have been earlier in the show. Not only has Haruto needed this development for a while, but Beast could probably just use the Dolphin Mant to fix up that knee.

Finally a badass Phantom appears. I really dig Bahamut's prowess. He's fighting very nonchalantly yet he's kicking Haruto and Mayo's asses. I also like Haruto's history with Kazuya and Naomi. Now we are delving into more of Haruto's past and I like that. Finally the White Wizard appears. Wow can't wait for next week's episode.

Exactly. And I immediately thought Legion could have been better used there as a "once in while super strong monster of the week", instead of Bahamut. Legion died too fast IMHO, I like when a show has interesting villains.

Come on, if Bahamut just appear as a regular and is so strong, why not sending him sooner ? (yeah I know, it's not really a question, it's the Sorting Algorithm Of Evil)

It was an okay episode.
Haruto's backstory was nice.
That aside, meh. I liked seeing Haruto just having fun, and Bahamut is alright, but eh. Asshole gate, as usual (The episode brings up "I don't know which is the gate" three times. It's pretty damn obvious it's the soccer player's girlfriend, not the soccer player), Phantom intentionally screwing himself over by letting a surefire victory go to toy with them, and mysterious mysteries with the man (Curiously, Wajima already knew him. That's neat).

The only way they could make her worse is if she despaired out of spite after Bahamut is gone

Considering how blatantly unlikable they're making this chick (Even more so when compared to other a-hole gates), I'd be lying if I said I'd feel sorry losing her.

Wizard the...sports melodrama? As stupid as that crap was, it was nice to have an episode that actually adds to the story. which we haven't had in a while. Plus Bahamut was pretty badass.

I do love how in the series, to find a gate, you just find the biggest asshole in a room.

Damn... That means i'm a gate every time. lol

That means I am one as well! Maybe I can fight my Phantom and become a Wizard as well.

I'm a plesent guy so I'm a normal guy.

But seroiusly why are the Gates so into Hobbles' mindset? Do you have to be a complete total fuckup to be a Gate?

I'm guessing they try to make the the gates have strong emotions but instead it translates to F@*k ups that can't handle things or how that the gates are more so one the border of falling into despair...
It's hard to tell sometimes like last weeks gate he was just :( don't really have words for it

Every single recurring cast member of the show so far has been a Gate at some point except for Wajima, the Donut truck guys, and Beast. And we don't know for sure that they all aren't.

It's real lucky for Haruto that every Gate in the world is within walking distance.

Yeah you'd think the Phantoms could just follow HIM around to find them.

Maybe that is why they haven't just killed him off already.
