Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Pink Division Round 1
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

Or possibly White Ranger if you go for Delphine or Alyssa!

Look, I love Cassie. I really do. I have an almost unhealthy admiration for Patricia Ja Lee, the most gorgeous woman to ever strap on a morpher.

But it's Jen. Jen is one of the best damn characters in the franchise's history. She was complex, she was competent, she was incredibly awesome, and she was the leader of her team. I honestly don't know how she could lose this.

And by "this" I mean the whole Pink division.

I'm sorry, Cassie, but you got the worst first-round draw possible. :(

I just hope someone out there hates Jen so you don't get the full Rocky.

This isn't fair dammit! I love both of these girls as rangers. So damn you for making me pick one.

As for my choice....I'm sorry Cassie and In Space, I have to say Jen. She was the better ranger. Better fighting skills, better technology and equipment, and more experience in fighting the enemy. Please forgive me Cassie!

Jen is a woman who showed that Pink can be a powerful color. She wasn't one to let the mutants have their way plus she can and will kick ass.

However that Battlefield Earth hairdo does NOT suit her. If she makes it to the next round (which seems very likely at this point) a better photo has to be used.

The hairdo is terrible. But let's be real, that suit is fucking epic.

It was actually surprisingly hard to find great pictures of Jen through a simple Google search.

Plus I loved Lara Croft Jen from the Wild Force crossover. :D

No argument there. A easy way to tell your character's a total badass is if they can pull off the leather asskicker look.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. He's just...Confused.
He just needs to realize that when someone asks "When's the next History of Power Rangers" they're not being ungrateful bastards, but they're fans of a series and wants to see it continue for more than one episode a year.

He just interprets that as "I need to put off watching this season because everyone is being assholes."

Outside of HOPR, he's...Alright. Nothing about him ever came across as "Douchy" like that Aussie guy.

That actually is a good point. I would've figured green/black would be after blue.

Jen's my pick to take the pink division. I can only think of a few that could give her trouble and one of them is being crushed this round. My guess is that it'll be Jen, Kimberly, one of the Lost Galaxy pinks, and some surprise wild card in the finals.

The only other Pink I would conceivably vote for would be Kendrix, because of her million dollar smile, her attitude, and her willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice without a second thought.

Okay, just saying, he did Yellow before Blue. Pretty sure he's just doing which ever set he feels like doing... that or he has a random color selector too. :lol

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the "timeless wonders" bit in the theme song was referring to her... as well as Wes and Trip of course :p

Or he's alternating genders (While male yellows and female blues exist, they're primarily female and male dominated colors, respectively).

While 6th is almost 100% male (Only what's her name from RPM (Not sure if SPD Nova is involved) breaking it up), it's otherwise male (Red), female (Yellow), male (Blue), female (Pink), male (Green/Black).

That wold be pretty funny to watch. Just click a random button and receive your color for the day :lol

Man, it's been a while since I've seen MMPR. I would've sworn up and down that Kim was first (A quick Youtube search proves I'm wrong) :lol

Yellow is the second primary color in the visible light spectrum, though. And even if the show rarely has Yellow in a second in command role, those ladies (Dustin and Chip not withstanding) usually take that spot in my mind.
Maybe Switchblade is doing this Gorenger style, considering MidoRanger was last?

I never quite understood how Blue commonly got the "Second in command" title, personally, since Billy was clearly not second in command (I'm hesitant to say it was Zack before Tommy, but I don't remember it clearly enough. It very may well have been Trini).

While some seasons did specify ranks (Like SPD), for the most part, everyone just goes with the assumption that Blue is second.

Jen. One, she was never in In Space. Two, she isn't Cassie. Three, how would she not win this? She is a highly trained police officer from the future, and the one and only Pink Ranger I can remember that could've led the whole damn team by herself and been fine.

Nostalgia is strong and we've seen multiple votes based on character attractiveness and nothing more.
Which is why I'm afraid she'll get robbed of the spot by Kimberly.

Actually it's because I love the word "wonder." As shown by my choice of screen name.
Ironically I never use it in posts though.
