NECA Pacific Rim Toys Catch-up
 

For a while, news on NECA's Pacific Rim Toyline was pretty sporadic. 18" figure there, 7" figure prototype there, et al. However within the last week, there's been more pictures and information let out. With the movie premiere date coming sooner and sooner, what better time than now to catch up on toy news?

I've read comments from folks who've seen the new trailers, wishing for toys of various Jaegers revealed recently. Same goes for the Kaiju. In this update we get to see both! Now onto the updates, courtesy of our sister site The Toyark:

Knifehead looks like something out of Ultraman..... AND I LOVE IT.

These are so bought on sight. My God.

Those "18" Gypsy Danger photos" aren't actually of the 18" toy, they're just the stock photos of the 7" toy as a placeholder.

So if the Kaiju will be the 7" scale then they'd probably fit in with monsterarts right? Same with the Jaegers?

That is so freaking cool.

Knifehead is freakin sick. I just can't wait for this movie.

Probably won't get any figures for it though... even if he does look preeetty cool.

I kinda wanna get the monsters just to create elaborate photosets with my figuarts, since I don't really have any villains.

Those 7" figures, both Jaegers and Kaiju are going to be hard to resist!

This movie is going to be frickin' amazing.

I think Knifehead looks like the love child of Zigra and the Cloverfield Monster, but that's just my honest opinion. In which is kinda cool.

Knifehead reminds me vaugely of Guiron from Gamera. I wonder if he'll shoot shurikens from his head :lol?. I'm pumped for these toys to come out. I want them duking it out with my MonsterArts.

Some of the monsters have attacks. I think one has an EMP burst.

That is convenient.

Oh crap Knifehead does look like Guiron. Good eye, sir. I didn't even got that connection until you told about it.

So the 6" figures are supposed to be hitting the US fully next week. On ebay you can see there's already some from the West Coast, and NECA's online store has them in stock. Hopefully I find them at TRU next week. Have $15 in reward coupons to spend.

Strangely, I find myself currently more excited for the Kaiju toys than the Jaegars. That Knifehead looks sick and would be an excellent monster for my figures to battle. :D
