Amazon.com has put up an order page for the "Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers" ten-episode special miniseries!

The Alien Rangers' special DVD release will be available starting September 24th for a mere 12.99 USD

Uh cool? I'm not sure what to feel about this.

... One would think that this was in with the season 3 DVDs.

Well, it's only $13 for 10 episodes, so it's not like they're overcharging or anything (Since I've seen some shows try to sell off 4-5 episodes for $15-20).

But...It's Alien Rangers. The Kakuranger costumes are cool, but I'd stick with Kakuranger if I want to see the ninja suits that badly.

That or Forever Red.

I thought this was already included with the DVD set...

GUIS and Hikari Senshi are up to the half way point of the series.

GUIS did it? Yay! They normally do great releases.

I'm guessing it's for people who want to watch Alien Rangers by themselves.

So now it'll boil down to whether Kakuranger will be to your liking :lol

i think what happen was that they want to sell season 3 as just season 3 for the individual realse not box set all forms of the season 1 to 3 box set include in in season 3 but for individual realse season 3 is only season 3 no alien ranger disc

MMAR is mostly important as a "proof of concept" that changing the look of the heroes would work, which it did. Plus neat to see the Kakurangers in action!

I'm actually in the minority that likes Alien Rangers and am way excited for the DVD.

I didn't hate the ALien Rangers episodes, as we got some pretty awesome stuff in there (Zedd destroying the Command Center, the Zeo Crystal search stuff was pretty good), it's just that the execution of the Alien Rangers was so damn stupid. Let's have people put dumb masks over their faces that look like brains on top of their heads because that makes them alien.

I have to admit...as an adult the Alien Ranger arc is by far the most unwatchable to me. I think it's largely because it was all about the kids. Hogday Afternoon Part 2 was pretty epic, but I remember being so excited as a kid thinking Zedd and Rita were going to come back in full force having blown up the command center and allegedly having the zeo crystal now. Only to have all of that mean nothing really...the first ep after hogday part 2 of zeo quickly ditched all that excitement and established a new status quo really fast. I dunno...I just feel like in a way I wasn't given a heads up that all of that was ending as a kid so it still has a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. lol. I know people say the show was losing popularity but in my personal experience I don't find this to be true. Oh well. what's done is done. AS far as the DVD release goes...I guess it's cool. Although, I'm not sure why anyone would want it if it is on the season 3 or complete series release.

I think it was worse in the transition to Turbo though. I mean, in the final episode, Zedd and gang blow up Mondo-tachi, say they are back, the rangers are all good and powerfuly, Jason is back even though he just relinquished the gold power. Next thing, Divatox comes out of the blue, Zedd and Rita are sleeping and never come back, the rangers just randomly give up their Zeo powers for car power, which had no introduction, and Jason acts like he hasn't seen the rangers for years. WTF?! And what happened to the Machine Empire? Did they just up and leave? Why did they give up the Zeo power? Why did Zordon just abandon the rangers and leave them in the hands of some amateur who mentions once that she had a sister that disappeared, implying it is Divatox, and nothing come out of it? Only for her to also abandon the rangers? What about the Blue Centurion's message from the future? How did Divatox change into three different people?

AH MY HEAD HURTS!!!!

Zordon left for Eltar because the portal/wormhole to it was only open for a limited time.
Dimitria...Yeah. She sucked (Hence why TJ was so awesome, putting up with that).
Blue Centurion's message was about the Space Rangers
And Divatox's original actress got pregnant or something.

Yea some thing like that so the actor who played demitrya play divatox but then after the hole lost her memory and the rescue zord episodes the original actress came back who played in the movie
