Two Power Rangers Related Exclusives for SDCC From Bluefin?
 

With SDCC right around the corner, many companies have already begun revealing their exclusives for this year’s show.

And Bluefin is no different, on Twitter they’ve hinted that we’ll be seeing at least two Power Rangers/Sentai related exclusives for this year’s Comic Con. Here is Bluefin’s exact Twitter post: 


There’s already speculation that we could see an S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin Red Ranger with Green Ranger’s Dragon Shield, or a previously unreleased Tamashi Web exclusive.

that would be pretty sweet. id assumed they would run into that issue with the retail release.

Im trying to 100% the sentai SHF figures, so whatever it is, i plan to get it, price allowing.

Hopefully something new, id not be shocked if it was MMPR related since thats due a major push this summer

I don't think we'll ever see a female Tiger Ranger and while Armoured Tyranno Ranger is inevitable, we're not going to see it released in the US before Japan.

Like last year, this will probably just be exclusives that weren't released outside of Japan before and that they have left over stock of. Super and Hyper Shinken Red, anyone?

"Metallic Armor" Figuarts maybe??

I would start buying Figuarts the moment that would come out.

I'm guessing they are going to be some Figuarts we haven't seen released in the US yet like GoseiKnight and stuff. I just don't see Bandai releasing Figuarts that haven't even been revealed in Japan yet.

Now, does Bluefin sell these outside of SDCC like other companies do now, or do I have to be there to get them? I ask because I'm going to be mad if I have to be at the show to get them since I will not be there.

I think there's zero chance of these being completely original releases. There's no way that these are gonna be figures which haven't seen some kind of release in Japan previously. Wether that be metallic rangers or what have you.

But most likely? I'd say it's Gosei Knight and Gokai Silver. One for Megaforce, one for Super.

Considering the suit is being reused in Mega Force, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the Dino Thunder version of the Green MMPR Ranger.

Every SDCC release so far has been EXCLUSIVE to America, albeit being redecos of previous releases. Japan has yet to get anything SDCC-related (NOT including the Night Spec RD Eva toy) driving the toys to have INSANE aftermarket values in Japan. I still can't believe Cheetozilla goes for $140+ in Japan now...

For the last few years both Amazon and BBTS have recieved stock of the SDCC exclusives for like $5 over what they were at SDCC.

That wasn't an SDCC exclusive though. The SDCC X was metallic deco while the MangaMan X version was Tamashii Features or something.

Yes they have been exclusive to the US. But they weren't figuarts either. And I'm just strictly talking about Ssentai/PR, I know all about Godzilla and D-Arts Megman. The PR exclusives were just your normal old BOA action figures in fancy boxed sets. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying that I don't think these will be figuarts or variants there of that haven't been released in Japan before.
Yup. But again I don't think, outside of possible metallic Red and Green rangers that anything crazy new or original will be coming.

Well, there were also the DBZ redecos... SHF redecos really are not out of the question.

But yeah, I too am expecting them to be old web exclusives. I'd definitely consider Gosei Knight a prime candidate. What will be most interesting is if he'd have original "Robo Knight" packaging then.

I really hope one of the exclusives is a Black and Gold SRC Megazord. :(

Alternatively, SRC Megazord with paint apps mimicking US toy stickers and the toy box.

Remember folks, no matter what the exclusive will be, it wiill be easy to get at BBTS and Amazon like the last two years. No need to panic and run to middlemen and scalpers.

i dont think it's going to be roboknight since there was no red figure from goseiger, i think it's gokaisilver and gokaired since bandai was talking about pirate figuarts last year.

My guess is a female MMPR Yellow. Even though the original Yellow Ranger uses the same sentai footage, they can use the female torso with the shorter stature. That's my guess. Possibly a Titanium Ranger Figuart, but I don't think he's popular enough to be coming out right now.

Convention exclusives are never brand new molds.

As cool as Titanium would be I have to agree with this. And I don't see them making a new female body sculpt for Tiger Ranger like that either.

They don't need to do a new female body sculpt, they can use the torso and hips from the Dekaranger females.

My money is on it being Gokai Silver and Goseiknight. The 2 "6th rangers" from the current series. Ofcourse Gokai Silver was readily available sooo maybe someone else instead of him.

That wasn't Bluefin. The only SDCC exclusives that came out in Japan previously weren't actually Tamashii products but some of their Gundam kits - Derringer is huge into gunpla and actually brought this up recently that this year's exclusives are simply more of last year's exclusive kits, including the pink Bearguy. Maybe some of their earliest releases came out in Japan too.

You're thinking of some retailer that was offering Kaoru Shinken Red and Kamen Rider Joker as "exclusives" last year. Those are a bunch of overpriced imported stock, not licensed exclusives.

Actual Bluefin exclusives consist of alternate decos of existing figures. At best you might see some remolded parts or extra accessories.

By the way, Super Shinken Red was a retail figure. It wasn't one of the aforementioned "exclusives" from that retailer and would on all counts make for an incredibly lame convention exclusive.

kaorou shinken red was avaliable at NYCC as somewhat a con exclusive but not by bluefin.if anything i say we see green and red MMPR figuarts being released earlier thats about it.most of the time after SDCC like others have said bbts and amazon do carry them all and sometimes bluefin does bring the leftover sdcc stuff to other cons as well

All I know for sure is:

1) It'll be a figure available to purchase from Japan already at the time of the show
and
2) It won't be a retool or remold. Repaint is always an option

I feel like we've had this discussion too many times before, but things like Godzilla and Dragonball have huge toy collector fanbases that warrant things like that. Power Rangers does not, which is why I doubt we'd even see things like a female Tiger Ranger in the future.

And yeah, I'm not trying to dismiss Power Rangers as an unpopular show, just that the people who are going to shell out this kind of money for action figures are limited to websites like this.

Pretty much knew both those points were coming. There's no way they'd have any sort of exclusive remold/retool for this.

Whatever the figure is, all i know is it wont be in my collection unless it is cheap :lol

even though the dragonball figuarts in japan i know of are just piccolo goku and gohan in ssj all the other are USA only never got ajapanese realse so why would USA power rangers like titanium and the spirit rangers not get made for USA only like most DBZ figuarts

I'd love to have Spirit Rangers Figuarts, just a shame that will never happen.

thats my point Dragonball z got more figuarts in the states then Japan due to they did not sell well in there home country but sell well in states so power ranger fans who love spirit rangers and titanium ranger would sell well in states and be popular and i think there is a japan fan base of power rangers that might want them

Incorrect. Everything Dragonball Z other than the SDCC exclusive Goku and Gohan came out in Japan as Tamashii Web exclusives. I think we found out about Frieza due to magazine scans before Bluefin confirmed his release.

Black's already in the two-pack with OO Blue, and... yeah, I didn't think there was an OO Green.

It was probably just a mind slip and nothing more.

Unless Saban is adding more Rangers.
