At long last one mystery will be answered! Who is the White Wizard?
A pity we may never know why Gates are jerks and how Phantoms really came into being. Also, as petty as it sounds Haruto wasn't and still isn't a fun main character. Because there's one less nagging question now I'll be nice and give this a 4 out of 5. @Switchblade: Gates just suck, don't they? Next series needs more likable victims because the Gates are people I kinda want to see die and that's something that you don't want your viewing audience to feel about characters you want people to like or at the very least feel sorry for. |

The show would have been MUCH better if the emotional problems were Kept In Gates. Bad Guilty Gear joke, but hey gotta make the best of a bad siltation right? |
Not a bad episode, again liking Haruto getting some development, but really it just got me more hyped for next week than anything else.

I enjoyed it, but it occurs to me that you could probably clip all the on-going plot scenes from each episode and it wouldn't even add up to one full episode. It'd be interesting to see a "fan's cut" of the entire series that's just the on-going plot scenes, the origin episodes of the various characters, and of course the end-game episodes that will be entirely about the on-going plot. It'd probably be only ten episodes worth of material.

Fair enough. Wizard seems worse because the characterization is so skimpy that it really suffers when there's nothing going on related to the on-going plot.

… Just look at GoseiWonder's current signature to find part of the reason I like this episode so much.
:lolol |
If Medusa's twin isn't in the movie, I suppose that new ring to be hers.
Bring the Kamen Rider sorceress now ! |
Glad to see Mayu making a return. For a while, I was a tad afraid Mayu would be a movie character.
Anyway, decent episode. It's nice to see some kind of growth in Haruto, I may have been wrong in Naomi being the real gate (So this makes, what, 2 gates who weren't total ass hats?), and White Wizard's identity is finally confirmed for someone we only just met last episode. (I really feel this reveal would have had a greater impact if we've seen this character before). |
Good episode because the White Wizard is finally revealed, and Naomi stopped being a bitchy bitch. But what really intrigues me is next week's episode, when Mayu / Witch will be revealed. I am hoping that it won't be an one episode thing, and that this female KR will be around until the end of the show.

Although episodes like that horrible arc with Shunpei and Rinko sucked, I have to say after every episode of Kuuga leaves me crying myself to sleep, I'm really appreciating this series again for reasons I may have otherwise have taken for granted.
Yes it was another fairly slow episode that did more in the cliffhanger than the whole episode but yay Haruto focus (who is my favourite Rider so far haters be damned) and there is just something so fun about Wizard that I find impossible not to get swept up into. It's got big heart, more than enough flash to spare, a gorgeous cast and I just really really enjoyed this episode. |
I notice they're drawing attention to the whole question of "why create more Phantoms in the first place?"
I doubt they'll go this route because it's too clever, but my hope is that the Phantoms are a side effect rather than the purpose of the Sabbat ritual, with the purpose being to harvest an insane amount of magical power. |
Other than the White Wizard reveal falling completely flat because it was a brand new character, this was a pretty great episode. Nice development for Haruto, foreshadowing ending and a overly flashy fight sequence which Wizard does so well. I'm growing really fond of the ridiculously OP nature of Infinity.

All right, so after two horrible episodes we are finally back to form with another set of great episode. We got some great insight into Haruto's past (so those complaining, shut up now), only a little screen time of Shunpei, and some awesome developments with meeting the White Wizard's identity (his actor looks familiar). This was great.
