Worst episode of the season! Left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt the lesson was use anger to fight better. Grey can just back to the cave he was in 1500 years ago and stay.

This show is getting stupider and stupider

I honestly don't know how much longer I can put up with this show. King's weakness is that he's already so perfect that he can't get any better? Really?

The movie trailer was in the opening? That's a first for a Sentai show right? Wasn't expecting them to change up the ending footage either.

Anyway, that was a pretty satisfying episode.
Grey is a bit of a dick, which makes him about 10 times more interesting than the majority of the main team, and Daigo is getting knocked down a peg or two.

About time.

I was right Grey is a dick, i like him.

Glad to see Daigo finally has a problem that he can't solve with his finisher, Rock-Buster Punch.

I actually enjoyed that.
They acknowledged that they made King too perfect.

I was actually angry watching this episode halfway through, during the test, with the "Daigo woke up instantly and was hit with everything and you all pretty much suck something fierce compared to him."
I'm glad they turned it on it's head and hope the resolution to this isn't stupid and actually enjoyable.

Considering it's Kyoryuger, I don't have much hope for it, but I will hold onto it on the possibility of this being a good story arc.

Shame there's no new episode next week; we'll have to wait longer for resolution to Grey's antics.

Yeah, I know that is why I didn't care for it. He should of had some weakness besides he has no weakness? What kind of stupid writing is that?

I know Grey is supposed to be "hard headed" and teaching that to the team but to me I felt like instead of the lesson of "if you don't successed, try, try again." I felt that the lesson he taught was get to feel emotion, no matter what it is and go fight with that. I felt most of them felt angry they couldn't win.

And with the case of Gold and everyone feeling emotion to power up and win the fights. King usually does come in with will power and trying to save his friends that this training he would of been fine at.

To find King's weakness Grey needs to find out more about King.

Love love love Kyoryugrey! It's awesome to have Bouken Silver's actor play him but I love the semi dick/badass he comes off as. Easily the better of the 2 spirit rangers and better than most of the core 6. The episode itself was pretty darn good on it's own but a new ranger can't hurt!

Can anyone that speaks Japanese tell me if that ending comment from Gray that Red was "perfect" or "had no weaknesses" was correctly translated? Are we losing some nuance there?

I thought they could have spent more time on the trials - basically, they didn't learn any techniques to overcome their "weaknesses", they just had to try harder doing what they already did?

When black said he had no fallback skill, I thought it was a great opportunity for them to learn some secondary techniques or something. Sadly this show isn't that deep . . . unless they're going for a Gurren Lagann thing, DRILL MORE. DRILL MOOOOOOOOOOORE

Their generalized subbing practices leave alot to be desired when it comes to dialogue.

I prefer them over TVNihon for the main fact that they actually try and translate everything so that its meaningful to everyone. TV Nihon does not.

Anyway, I'm trying to save this episode. I don't want to go too long without Kyoryuger over the break!

Yeah, I agree with just about everything you said. I'll try the other subs to see if it is better.

Also, yeah I felt Black and some of the others had no fallback skill, and yeah use the drill battery, didn't we learn that LAST WEEK!

TVN lost me for good when they compared their detractors to the Westboro Baptists.

Gave it rating of Excellent because I really like it. I love KyoryuGrey and I think it's about time this show gets a kick in the behind and amp it up a bit. The trials I think it's appropriate because it shows that all the Kyoryugers have the ability to win but lack conviction and confidence in his/her ability so they'd fail in the past. As for Red I also think it's appropriate that he was shown to be without flaws because that's the #1 complaint about his character since day one. Anyways two weeks is a long wait for next episode.

also Franky from One Piece, to bad this isn't Kamen Rider were the MotW stays for two weeks, but on to the episode King was good at every thing not the best but good meaning their are no faults for him to improve thus when the others strengths wear hindered they used their bravery to push forward while for king he wasn't able to push forward because there was not much pushing back so either gray needs to train king harder or king needs to find his own power that he can use to push forward with or not I don't really know how they will go about it but that is why I love this episode that and Gray is a hard headed teacher

I think Te-Sai was right about Daigo he needs to look within and stop being so carefree the fate of the world is at stake

But maybe that's how he deals with saving people and such?

Great episode, but I don't expect anything to come out of Deboss reviving for at least another 25 episodes.

Except they don't bother to translate Blue's puns into puns, they just give a literal translation, diminishing his character.

Stuff like that was what eventually convinced me to stay with O-T during Fourze.
They didn't give context for Cancer's puns and jokes in Fourze, just translating his lines, and I had no clue WTF he was saying.

It gets a Good. And no, not because there wasn't enough Candi. Though that was sad.. No, it was because I farking hate two-part episodes. I have no patience.

Seriously? I love when Sentai does 2 part episodes. It means they're taking things seriously for this brief iota of a moment to not cram 44 minutes of plot and development into 20 minutes.

Well, he is.
Being optimistic is one thing. Being blind to your surroundings and situation is another.
He smiles through any scenario, regardless of how dire the situation is.

If I was KyoryuGrey, I wouldn't declare that his issue is that he lacks a weakness. I'd say that he's in denial because his team carries him. He believes he's strong when, in reality, it's his allies who are strong, while his purpose is solely to smile and keep the team together.

It's like playing a 4 player co-op game. Player 1 may have gotten the kill, but Players 2 through 4 were the ones who did all the work to weaken the enemy to that point.
