Surprise! Yesterday, Tamashii Nations left a teaser with the reveal of their promotional images of Red Hawk from Jetman, a mysterious silhouetted with blue legs showing in the reflection at the base... It only took one day for the reveal of this figure, DekaBlue from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger!

DekaBlue is shipping in September and retails for 3675 yen at Tamashii Webshop Japan and Hong Kong.

and this is why i am glad i am only getting reds, cause completing sentai teams is such hard work :lol it was enough of a chore to get the gokaigers :lol

Bah. I wanted all the Dekarangers but now I'm not so sure :lol

Blue is an exclusive? This is a step backwards Tamashii Nation :(

These are my thoughts exactly, I had hoped they learned from the Gokaiger SHF's.

I'd be lying if I said I was surprised. IIRC, they said they wanted to focus on Reds and Sixths(yet GoseiKnight was exclusive grumble grumble). Probably want to focus on the ongoing teams and Reds for retail, and the rest come out as exclusive. Not too horrible if you want to pick and choose members of a team, but completing one will require some dedication.

Eek, now I'm worried that Black Condor may be exclusive. I want him bad enough that I'll deal with the extra expense, but I hope it doesn't go that way. Honestly that would probably be the only Sentai exclusive I'd shell out for.

Well, maybe Black Condor's Gokaiger appearance would help steer him away as an exclusive?

Honestly I don't see the complaints. This thing is cheap as hell for an exclusive. If the other Dekarangers wind up being exclusives at that price point then id probably pick them all up. I do find it odd that blue would be exclusive though since they usually reserve for female characters. But I guess they really are trying to focus more on reds.

Why are people saying its cheap? Its the same price most Tamashii web exclusive figuarts are, but that price doesn't factor in middleman costs and shipping etc. It all adds up if you're paying that price for all four other Dekarangers.

I guess im thinking of things like Magnugiga that are on the higher end price range for exclusives. To me 3600 yen seems like a fair price. Its $40 give or take before shipping which for something this nice seems pretty fair. Luckily our own middleman service, Sentai Tamashii, makes getting these things affordably with cheaper shipping pretty easy.

That's not cheap, just the typical price for exclusive Figuarts (and Ultra-Acts). The more elaborate a figure is, the more expensive it ends up. Of course, this is also before shipping and middleman fees. Every time we've frontpaged an exclusive and included the price, it's been based on the initial cost from Tamashii Web. I'm not going to go through every single announcement to check, but "3675 yen" has been quoted a lot.

We haven't have enough sentai teams in SHF form to establish a status quo yet. Everything Shinkenger besides Red, Super Red, and Gold was exclusive. Only the Gokaiger girls were exclusive. The only Goseiger we have (bleh) was exclusive. It's not that surprising to me that Deka Blue wasn't a retail release.

It's safe to assume that Deka Green will be an exclusive as well then.

I'd definitely say so. It gets more interesting once you reach the other guys. Would DekaBreak be exclusive? How about Dekamaster? The others, if they're even made, sure they'll be exclusive, but those two do leave me wondering.

Yeah, those two will be an interesting variable. Though, I don't recall Break being shown off with the rest of the team a few weeks back. And then we have the SWAT modes.

But I don't want DekaBlue to be exclusive!

Given that Dekamaster was only in a handful of episodes, and also his Extra Hero status, I don't think he'll be a mass release figure. DekaBreak...maybe?

Regardless it's safe to assume that every damn one of us will be buying a Dekamaster. Am I right? Exclusive or not he is way too awesome to not own. Red I'll buy and the others I could take or leave but the chance of owning the core 5 plus Master and Break puts me all in on this team. Even if I didn't care for Dekaranger as a show I love the designs.

Definitely, he's the one I'm holding out for most! :lol
I'm worried we might be seeing the Boukengers before those two though, simply because they've been on show and we've heard nothing about Deka Break or Master. Makes me curious whether they'll do it a team at a time or start releasing them side by side too.

I think I'll stick with Kamen Riders the main ones

DekaMaster was the character that convinced me I NEEDED to watch Dekaranger ASAP. His debut was just sooooo epic! I'm also going to buy him without a second thought.
