How's Gekiranger?
 

Gekiranger is one of the shows I've had on the back burner for some time; I checked it out when the series began but tuned out pretty quickly (partly due to other interests but also I remember REALLY hating GekiRed.)

Overall would you recommend the series or not???

I would. I enjoyed it, for the most part.
I never finished it, but that was due to various issues in life at the time and never getting back to it, not the series's fault.

I started out with Gekiranger. It's my favorite series and resposible for getting me into Sentai. It has a great story. I can understand your dislike of GekiRed, but I think all the other characters make up for it. The relationship between GekiRed and Rio is one of the things I like best.

Mele is <3. Shes the sole reason I love the show.

And Jan also really grows in this series. The Janisms remain, but towards the end of the series he's really grown.

you should watch it, it was this this and boukenger that got me into sentai, also Gekivoilt.

Giant robot battles were fun as they had Bae the fly be the commentator during the fights.

Gekiranger was a season I didn't expect to like, but I loved every bit of it. Also, GekiRed. <3

This so much. I thought I wasn't I wasn't gonna enjoy it much at all but it ended up being one of my favourites. I wasn't watching it for the Gekirangers in the end (well, GekiViolet is still a BAMF), its Rio and Mele that make this show.

Gekiranger also has some freaking awesome music. Particularly that one theme...I forget the name, but it was playing when Ran first used the Elephant Hammer. And then there is Kageki theme, nuff said there.

I'm on episode 25 of Gekiranger now and its pretty good. I like the fact that even the villains get in the limelight. Plus like they said Mele is hot. And its always funny when she goes Rio-sama.

I'm now at episode 30. Ken is a really fun character. And I like how manipulative Long is. This series really have a good set of villains.
