Pre-Zyuranger sentai being added to Power Rangers lore?
 

alright, something VERY interesting has popped up. the folks at Rangercrew have posted preview images for the next set of cards in the Power Rangers Action Cardgame and normally this would be it, but the last 3 cards reveal something INTERESTING

3 of the cards feature Megaforce Red, Black, and Blue also feature characters from Sun Vulcan and Goranger.

what does this mean? is pre-zyuranger sentai being added to Power Rangers canon? stay tuned to Tokunation to find out

I'm curious to see where this will go or if it will be reserved solely for the cards.

How does this work? Are they gonna start adapting series from the 80s? Because unless they have a way to clean up the footage that is gonna look terrible.

Maybe we'll get an explanation on the pre-MMPR Rangers/Sentai rangers appearing in Super Megaforce.

The title Universe of Hope makes me think they will be Alien Rangers (if they are added to canon)

That's unlikely. But with Super Megaforce using a lot of pre-Zyu footage, that'd be the perfect time to integrate the costumes into PR canon.
I know we're re-filming a lot of footage to disclude them, but it doesn't mean that we can't keep other scenes featuring them.

Also, because of Gokaiger using all the suits, that means we have every Sentai costume available in a decent enough condition that we could bring them over to the states/New Zealand and make our own series with them, rather than relying on already filmed footage.

The Dairangers have the perfect pass with the excuse of being "China's Power Rangers" should they choose to go with that.
I don't know how they'd explain the others, but I'm sure we'll get something.

So in plain English 'Saban is too lazy and cheap to reshoot the war to exclude the sentai only suits, so he'll probably say Morphin Grid timeywimey' wave his hand a little and then just use the entire sentai war footage and be done with it?

Didn't they already shoot the American Legend war?

Actually, it's been confirmed that the Legend War scene has been/is going to be refilmed.

However, there's more scenes featuring the past costumes beyond the Legend War.

I'm still not excited for this, reshooting and working around the Sentai only suits should be a part of this show as this is a celebration of POWER RANGERS, including the Sentai only suits and whatever hackneyed explanation they come out with to explain it away will be for one reason and one reason only, laziness.

If Saban's return with Samurai and Megaforce has proven anything, they're long....LONG beyond carrying about making a good TV show now, they only want to sell toys and if they include the Sentai only stuff then that is more money for them.

Hey if we are getting pre Zyu sentais maybe we will get Gokai Christmas and say the Battle fever rangers are other holidays, even though they look nothing like it, it feels like something they would do.

It's not laziness...Bandai left these in specifically for Sentai fans. The pre-Zyu won't be in Super Megaforce. No laziness here.

What does that have to do with me? This is nothing about the integrity of a precious Japanese kids show, it's the fact that I'd be fucking pissed if the Power Rangers celebration is full of non Power Rangers suits with some limp explanation because Saban saw another opportunity to put in less effort and make more money.

Actually, I think he just gave Locke something that supports his views. Many have fallen before the might of his posts concerning the separation of Super Sentai and Power Rangers and how they are two different shows, neither one ruining the other.

I really don't understand the VENOMOUS comments towards this. It's not deserving at all. It's a small nod to Sentai fans. It does not affect the show itself at all.

There's no real issue here.

How does that work? Unless they say they're Rangers from around the world, or Legendary Rangers from other worlds, or something or another.

That's what I'm here for, buddy. That and science. And campaigns to get Power Rangers alumni who actually want to return to Power Rangers but were rejected for budget reasons back into Power Rangers. And pudding.

Anyway, I am curious to see where this goes. It would be pretty cool to have domestic figures available of the pre-Zyuranger Sentais.

Why the hell isn't there a card with Akaranger? Is hi's design just THAT weird that they didn't put it?

I'm not sure if that's a Blaster in my pocket or I'm just happy about this. Any way now is a good time to add in a bunch of random rangers into the universe. Hopefully they are rangers from around the world and not space is my only worry

Back then, I had imagined just once, how about Pre-Power rangers super sentai series cross over with American Power Rangers universe for Super Megaforce,

This will be very interesting with Super Megaforce.

This does not say that the Sentai suits will be in Super Megaforce, chances are its just a Sentai tribute that the ACG designers put in. It just seems like a small awesome thing they did for Sentai fans, which is far enough.
I hope Akaranger gets a card though. Sun Vulcan being with the four Gorenger's is bizarre to say the least. Although noticeably VulEagle is 3-03, so mayve 3-01 will be Akarenger, 3-02 will be VulShark and then 3-08 or something will be Vulpanther.

I am so glad I'm 100% these card sets. All the more reason to buy them! I'll take Sentai cards over the terribly done Bulk and Mentor cards the last set had any day.

EDIT: Looking back, 3-02 is RPM Red. I really hope 3-01 is Akaranger. Would be weird to leave out the main Gorenger. Although Momoranger and Kiranger are in the Starter deck, so Akaranger might be there too.

Also, the ACG guys have confirmed that Saban gave them permission to use Sentai characters only if they put them with Megaforce Rangers, which is reported on Henshin Justice, so likely this is just very cool ACG exclusive thing.

At first I didn't really care too much about it, because while its a cool thing, I'm never gonna pick any of the cards up.
But, since its getting a rise out of people, I really love it now. Anything that provokes a negative reaction from Power Rangers fans is alright by me. :D

I just want this to be a celebration of Power Rangers, after watching Disney seasons for eight years and all the effort and money that went into them, I feel so downtrodden by Saban and their minimal effort to the franchise.

I don't want to see sentai suits in a Power Rangers celebration with some flimsy explanation as to why they are there because they couldn't be bothered to edit it out, I want to see effort put into the anniversary of a franchise that has been there through my whole life.

This is supposed to be for the fans according to Saban but I've yet to see any evidence of this. They probably aren't going to appear in the anniversary but just if they do.
