Celebrate 13 Years of Lightspeed Rescue
 

Tokunation has been doing tribute after tribute each month to the various seasons of Power Rangers. This month is no different, but our focus is, and this time it's Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue! This year marks the 13th Anniversary of the show as well. Based on KyuKyu Sentai GoGoV, Lightspeed Rescue is definitely a fan favorite series.

Whether it's because of Red Ranger Carter Grayson, or the first truly US exclusive ranger Titanium Ranger, or the expansion of the Battlizers this time used by Red Green & Blue Rangers, there's a huge fanbase for this season! And with all the anniversary talk the cast members actually met up recently for a small 13th anniversary get together! This show had so much to offer fans with it's more public safety/protect & serve rangers and their public identities.

I'll be honest. I never actually saw all of Lightspeed Rescue. I watched the first ten episodes, I think right up until Titanium recieved his Zord, and then I was sporadic after that. One thing I remember clearly, though, is it had one of my favorite zord combining sequences. The Lightspeed Megazord. Because it didn't somehow magically combine, how it did made sense. It also had one of my favorite Megazords, the Super Train. Big ass trains? That combine? Sign me up!

I was so distracted by Dana in that photo....

Perhaps Titanium can be moved to stand on Dana's right as opposed to Kelsey's left?

I know it's the photo, but Wes looking like another Pink Ranger did make me chuckle.

Lightspeed Rescue is my favorite PR series. Hard to believe it has been 13 years since it aired! I was in college at the time, yeesh!

At some point I need to get a Lightspeed Megazord... here's hoping for an SRC Victory Robo!

Man, Lightspeed gets good feels. Loved the Megazords. Wish my Supertrain wasn't busted and missing all the little bits.

You're off your butt. Wes and Carter are probably some of the few Red rangers that were actually quite different.

The truly amazing thing about the attitude towards this show on this forum is that back in the early 00s, this series was absolutely hated by the PR fandom. I was always one of the outliers who dug it, so I am glad to see it get some recognition finally.

Oh I still don't like it aside from Titanium Ranger :p Back in the day, as a kid, I blindly thought it was awesome.

I think Lightspeed was okay, it was clear they were really using it to test the water and I largely thank Time Force's brilliance to the fact they had a test run with Lightspeed first.

*shrug* See the positive comments in this thread? That would have been unheard of about 10 years ago. Positive opinions about LSR were not allowed in the fandom at that point.

Positive opinions about American adaptations still aren't allowed most of the time. I'm just glad there is a pretty equal balance on this forum of both fans of the American Adaptations and the Japanese Versions.

Oh wow, I didn't know it was that disliked actually in the fandom. Then again the stuff after Zordon was kinda like the Disney seasons of today in terms of they are actually better than what came before it, but oh my God we can't have change now can we.

because i am a heterosexual male and i rather think all the pinks are rather hawt and only a couple yellows that i would err...shag. so in that regard my ultimate team based on hawtness is all pinks with lily as the sixth i suppose.

though im trying to think of a power ranger man who fits that category for me. when i think of attractive man, jason statham comes to.mind. so in that vein the closest ranger guy is xander, accent and all.

Conner was a handsome lad, minus the outfits... Wes is a good looking guy who has aged really well. Dillon was the sexy bad boy. And we can't forget sexy old Sky.
