New Photos of S.H.Figuarts Kyoryu Red! 

 


Yesterday, Bandai announced that we’ll finally be getting an S.H.Figuarts Kyoryu Red figure. The figure was featured in the new Figureoh Magazine and the scans shows some accessories that will be included.

As expected, the two standard side arms will be included with the release: His GabruRevolver and Caliber which were both shown in the official images, and an in scale Beast Battery will also be packed in along with specific alternate hands designed to hold the battery.

The images give no indication if he’ll have his GabruCannon, and it looks as though his Armed On parts won’t be included at all.

Of course, there’s still the possibility that we could be seeing an Armed On Kyoryu Red as an entirely separate release, or the parts as a first run Pre order bonus.

Now that's dissapointing. I know it's small, and it'd be hard, but I was really hoping the Battery would have more detail.

I'm more disappointed by the lack of Armed On.

I don't think you CAN get much more detail on something that small. The Gokaiger keys were the same.

Don't forget the DecaDriver, on Figuarts Decade.

The lack of Armed on pieces does not concern me. Sure , they would be nice. But it's not a deal breaker. It would be cool to see a build-a-Kentro-spiker though.

If that becomes a separate release I think that is really cheap on Bandai's part, I could get it if they wanted to release a separate toy that completely changes the form from the ground up but all Armed On is, is a metal plate on the arm and a new weapon so that could be easily including as accessories.

No armed on parts is BULLSHIT! Even first-run bonus would be stupid. It's a frequently used gimmick on the show, with a combining weapon function. No gaburucannon either?!

A separate armed on release would be completely, unabashed greed

I would accept a Tamashii web exclusive Armed on pack that includes weapons AND effects parts for all 5 figures for about $40

Wow, pretty light on the accessories. I'm in total agreement about the Armed On. It should have been included, at least as a first-release bonus. Hopefully, they'll do a weapons/effect pack - but that would be a first for Sentai, so I wouldn't count on it.

So, he's missing the combined sword/gun mode, the arm, and I also would have liked him to come with his piece of the kentrospiker. What's up with that?

Also, they should have someone come with the battery-charger thing or the table the hideout or something. Maybe even those platforms they're on in the Kyoryujin. This show has a lot of options for cool accessories.

But they have before. The Gosei Cards with Knight are amazingly detailed.

I imagine printing on card is a lot easier than painting on plastic though.

Good point. But I would've settled for like a peice of sparkly plastic inside or something, the straight yellow looks weird. And I also agree with you for a lack of an Armed On. But this is Bandai. They'll release the full team. Then make it an add-on set with them all together, plus the Spiker, like they did with most of Fourze's Modules.

And like they'll probally do with Zyurangers weapons. They'll release an effects set where the weapons are already combined.

I would not be surprised to see a giant weapon pack for Kyoryuger with the Armed On stuff, Separate and combined Spiker weapons (as they'd never make the weapons combinable), at least a couple sword/gun combo weapons, Deinosgrander parts including the alternate Armed-On guards, and whatever other battery weapons the Kyoryugers get by the end of the show. Of corse, it'll be a web shop exclusive. Bandai has been making a habit of that lately with KR, so I have no reason to believe we won't see them at all.

Alternatively, we could see the armed on parts come with whatever web shop team members we get. It could be used as a good incentive to get people to buy the aux members like Cyan and Grey who would normally ignore anyone not a normal team member. If they're going to get released at all, it'll be something like either of those two ways. No way Bandai is going to make a separate "Armed-On" team. They can barely sell complete teams as is.

Maybe the Armed-On part will be a first run exclusive. They skipped doing those for Red Buster though.

But what could they have done for Red Buster?

None of the Busters didn't really have any kind of character specific gear, and the Figuarts already had everything they were suppose to.

The lack of Armed On (and to a lesser extent the Gaburicannon) is disappointing. It does look nice though. I don't think I'll grab it right away since I'm not a huge fan of Daigo.

Same here. I don't mind paying more but each Kyoryuger should come with an Armor On accessory. Hopefully they'll package everything into one add on set.

I'll still get it, but that is really lame. What are the chances that these are not all his accessories? That's lacking, even compared the Red Buster!

No they won't. Bandai knows what they're doing.

That said, I don't see them releasing a five pack of Armed On accessories. It's not logical, especially if say, you're only collecting Red Rangers.

And have we seen the entire figure yet? As it's still in a beta phase, there might be an Armed On piece and their weapon later down the line.

If they are doing the Armed On stuff seperately, I expected an accessory set that has all of their Armed On arms, weapons, and the Kentrospiker. Though untill we see all the official images before the pre-orders go up next week, we won't know if that's included or not

Armed On would be perfect for a Sentai accessory pack that included all the finishers. Rekka Daizanto Bazooka Mode, Gokai Galleon Buster, Murphy and Kentrospiker!
