Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Grack Division Quarter-final Round 1
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

And here we are already, the first round of our penultimate quarter-final. And to start off we've got two Rangers who will actually be interacting with the real Super Megaforce.

Will Damon represent an entire galaxy on the ultimate team? Will Tommy need to pull all of his green clothes back out of storage? Which Ranger will reign supreme?

Eh, definitely Tommy for this round. I still don't think he's the best contender for green/black, but I'll get into why when I actually vote against him.

For now he smokes Damon.

EDIT: I just noticed, what the hell is going on with the dragon shield in that pic? :lol

With Tommy's huge range of experience he basically tops all Rangers in a fight and there are few Rangers with a better personality either.

Damon is a great mechanic, but he's lacking as a Ranger.
I'll give it to Tommy this round.

I voted for Damon out of pity.

I'll vote for Tommy every time. It was cool to have him back in Dino Thunder. Even cooler when he became a Dino Thunder Ranger.

Tommy.I know alot want him as a sixth,but there are other great sixths,which means he has a chance to lose.In the Grack division,he has so much personality,experience,leadership,fighting skills,and power that no one can touch him.

Sorry Damon, but Tommy is getting my vote.

Tommy is better for the sixth ranger position. I'd pick Damon.

I kinda want to see Tommy win the Grack round. If for nothing else , just to have him taken out of the 6th round to see how those match ups fair.

Tommy. As far as I'm concerned...he was at his best as Dino Thunder Black.

People need to stop doing that.
Kim beat Syd, then pity votes for Syd during her redemption round led her to beat Kim.

It leads to confused and uneven results.

But does Grack really need to be another leader? It doesn't matter what color we choose for Tommy, he would just end up usurping Carter and becoming the defacto leader of the team. If he's going to do that, it might as well be as sixth.


Despite that, I still vote for him this round. He's still the better overall character.

Syd was the true victor to begin with for that round.

Besides, pity votes are what almost catapulted Casey to victory. Stop complaining, GekiPony-boy. :p

I just started rewatching Jungle Fury again, and Casey just isn't my kind of character x3

Eh, he's okay. Everyone else outshines him, though.

And sadly, Tommy is outshining Damon.
Because really I don't want Tommy winning a Non-6th Division of this Tournament. I don't care if he wins the 6th division though. Just don't let him win Grack.

Uh, no she wasn't. Kim won fair and square, and it was a solid chunk of anti-MMPR bias which put Syd over in the second round. Kim deserved to win the second round as well, but we all knew that Little Miss Fanfic would win in the end, which she did.

This round, eh, I am a lot more familiar with Damon than Tommy in this role. Not sure who to go with.

I voted for Dam- TOMMY!

Tommy. Because he was memorable. Not Damon's fault, mind you. Him and Kai were just surrounded by more memorable people. Kendrix, Leo, Mike. Sadly they made Kai and Damon nothing more than backround noise.

It's unfortunate that so many PR seasons end up like that, with a few characters being nothing more than ascended extras in terms of development and character.

It really is. I remember liking Damon, not Kai so much, but Damon. I just don't remember much about what he did or what he was like. And that's because my memory of LG is all Magna Defender, Kendrix dying, and Leo being awesome.

MegaForce is like that. There's Gia, Emma.. and the three guys that show up and help them fight.

How do you not remember Robo Knight? I mean, the medical bills you probably had to pay for after his voice was revealed should be enough to not let your memories of him be blocked out.

Might as well go for a team of all leader types (and Lily) since any chance of this being a well balanced team is pretty much shot.

A team of all leaders then. Get Tommy in as Green and Jason or Eric or Doggie Kruger in as Silver.

I think the only members of this team that "MAY" clash are Jen and Carter, people are such drama queens.

I honestly think Jen and Carter will just team up to shoot everything :D

I think they are also both mature enough to work together as well, which is why I wrote may in the way I did, as in - this is the biggest stretch in the world - kinda thing. And which is why I don't get why everyone needs to exaggerate the flaws of the team to such overly dramatic levels.
