The Tamashii WebShop has updated with several new images of recently announced Zyuranger special release, Armored TyrannoRanger!

Armored Tyranno will be released in November for 3675 Yen and has been confirmed for US distribution through Bluefin (though American price is yet to be revealed.)

Still would've worked as an add-on set.

Unless you're up for forearm swapping, I don't think those gold bands would be very "Add on" friendly.

Would've been easier than shelling out Exclusive prices.

But it's getting a US release, too.
And it's not like it's one of the expensive exclusives. It's like, 400 yen more than other normal release Figuarts.

Now to decide whether to get this or the normal red...

If you're just getting one, go normal. You get the Ranger Gun, Ranger Sword, Thunderslinger and Ranger Slinger as well as the Ryugekiken and Ranger Stick. The only new accessory this guy has Dragon Ranger already comes with, so its not a great trade-off.

Personally though, I'm getting both! :D

I think its a really cool figure, but in all honesty it probably doesn't need to exist. I imagine most people are going to get one or the other, but not both...so Tamashii is only increasing their costs by making another mold (or taking the time to repaint and assemble a headswapped figure) while not really increasing their sales.

At least this way, people don't have to double dip. And I don't know about anyone else, but I'm deathly paranoid whenenver I swap out Gokai Red's arms. :lol

Though it's not as scary as swapping Figuarts Lelouch's face I can tell you that much.

I hate swapping arms with a passion. I think I'm gonna break it every time I swap DBZ arms.

I am also happy to pay extra to make sure both Armed and Normal look perfect and don't need a large amount of parts swapping. I know this figure is on a completely different calibre to the BOA servings, but look at how terribly floppy and crap the armour on the Shogun Rangers and the Armoured Red Ranger are, they fall off just by looking at them. I don't need that on my Tyranno and Dragon Rangers!

It's a bit more pricey, but now all three (Tyranno, Dragon, Armed Tyranno) look amazing.

The chest plate problem could have been solved if they made it a flexible piece that wrapped around the neck like Super Legends green.

But then you don't have the accurate bottom straps and armbands and the armour is made of a weaker plastic. I think this is a good decision, even if it cost more.

I am collecting a full set of the Kyuurangers so I am sure that I'll be getting this one. Thankfully it's not coming out til end of the year.

Why would you want a cloth vest for a Figuart?

Ehh pass. Unless it ends up going cheap on Mandarake or in an Amazon sale this is one Zyu/MMPR figure I can live without.

If you want accurate materials, then why not make the toy out of spandex instead of plastic?
It just seems pointless to me.

If I was gonna buy one, I'd wait til a cheap one turned up on Mandrake or whatever, and I guess this decides which one out of the two reds I will be getting if at all.

I don't really see a Dragon Shield as worth a massively diminished accessory count.

Do you have GokaiRed? The bicep pieces always come off and are easy to get back on, so swapping his biceps would not have been that big of an issue. Anoying, but it's not as if they would be forcing you to do so.

I'm getting this but I kinda wish they released this in a two pack with a un-armored green/dragon ranger since I really want one of those too.

i personally wont be getting this. i never really liked red and gold together anyways. plus, for me.. dragon ranger is the only one who wore the shield.

i so cannot wait to have all of the mmpr rangers displayed together. i'll display them in front of the legacy megazord.. next to the head morphers, who will be standing in front of the original ultra megazord.

it'd be nice if, for the anniversary, they released a legacy dragon zord and titanus.

I'm a sucker for variant figures, Toy Biz & Hasbro have turned into a bad habit, lol. So I will definitely be grabbing this figure as soon as it's up for preorder. Now I'll just need an unarmored Dragon Ranger to display beside it.
