Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Grack Division Quarter-final Round 2
Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.
We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger. The current team consists of: Red Ranger: Carter Grayson Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psdb528550.jpg The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords. Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded. Now that we’ve got that covered, Let’s Morphing! -+-+-+- Okay, we've got a real good match this time. It's the battle of the oddballs; our two most off-kilter Rangers are going head to head to see just which of them might be weird enough to fill GokaiGreen's shoes. Bridge "and his spandex of many colors" Carson http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psd6247a18.jpg http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Bridge_Carson vs. Ziggy "Like the comic character, but with more pants... usually" Grover http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psa063b53a.jpg http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Ziggy_Grover Voting will last 24 hours. Will Bridge win this fight while standing on his head? Will Ziggy win this fight in his underwear? Which Ranger will reign supreme? Allez Ranger! |
Bridge.Training,skill,mechanical knowledge,SWAT mode,and he became a Red.
|
Bridge.
Good enough to become the future Red ranger, good enough to beat Ziggy. |
Wow, what a matchup. I have to go with Bridge on this one, but this will be interesting to see play.
I am choosing Bridge because he always seems to bring a different perspective to solving problems, which is very useful. He's also quite clever and can handle himself well in tight spots. |

Bridge is insanely likeable, and would go on to become a Red Ranger so he clearly has the skill as well.
Sorry Ziggy. |
Ziggy.
|
Ziggy, moving on.
|
Bridge. Sorry Ziggy but I love SD :lol
|
The only reason Bridge became Red Ranger was because the person who played Jack didn't want to come back for Once a Ranger because Emma Lahana came back. .THey could have just as easily brought Sky back. I'm going with Ziggy.

It doesn't matter what the behind the scene reason is. |

Also… I hate you for making me choose between my favorite Green Rangers, Switchblade's random number generator. I truly do. |

If KRX has proved that you can fight of hoards of enemies with a rubber chicken, why is shadow puppetry that different? |
Both are great but Bridge just brings more to the table, regardless if he became red or not. A trained officer vs. a bumbling guy off the street that can't even swing his own signature weapon without nearly falling over isn't much of a fight.
Bridge also brings some mechanical know how and out of the box methods of problem solving. Also: If Bridge joins the team, he'll have another chance at becoming best friends with himself as a child. :lol Theoretically, young Bridge would be about 9 right now. |

In the end, I went with Ziggy, but I'm fine with whoever moves on. |

Thinking about it more, wouldn't Bridge already know some stuff that happened during 'Super Megaforce'? He's from the near future but he's also alive in present day, giving him some recollection of events.
Yes, I know Jen is also from the future but there's a big difference between 12 years and 1000. |

Go Ziggy's quirkiness! Even though Bridge is awesome, Ziggy is one of my favorite rangers ever.
|
In the first few episodes of RPM I thought Ziggy was going to be super annoying and hoped that they didn't make him a Ranger but he really grew on me after that. As much as I like Ziggy now I don't think he offers as much as Bridge and couldn't win in a fight. This team needs the skills Bridge will bring while having Ziggy around would work better if he was a civilian.
|
Bridge Carson. Why?
I liked how he always says "Buttery" while wriggling his fingers. 'Nuff said. |

Oh this is just not fair.
Tough choice |
I like Ziggy, but Bridge just has more going for him.
|
Dang it's close and I think we're just about maxed out on the usual number of voters...
|
I think Bridge can beat out Tommy in a vote on merits of what he brings but I don't think Ziggy has any chance because it's mostly "he's Ziggy" vs "he's Tommy" and Tommy actually has some skills. Basically, a vote for Ziggy is a vote for Tommy the way I see it but I could be proven wrong. Either way I don't think we end up with a bad choice in the Grack spot.
|
Dang. I just didn't like Ziggy as everyone else did :lol
|
One thing which strikes me about both of these contenders is that either one would fit wonderfully with the footage of Gokai Green. Both Bridge and Ziggy would match up with Don's unconventional and often pratfall-laden combat technique.
Now I am picturing Bridge doing his kung fu kata with Jen in the Gekiranger/Jungle Fury tribute episode... heheh... |

Honestly? I can't be mad at either one winning. I voted Ziggy, because Ziggy, but if Bridge wins I'd be good with that. He was an excellent green and character. |

I really like Ziggy, I do, but there's honestly no reason he should/could win this round. It'd be different if some kind of real argument would have been presented but there hasn't been (aside from shadow puppets).
|
What surprises me is that no-one has mentioned Ziggy's teleporting powers yet. Those would be an advantage. In some way.

Sorry, I was out of the house longer than I'd expected.
By a narrow one-vote margin, Ziggy will be moving on. |
