Ultimate Ranger Team Tournament - Grack Division Semi-final Round 1
 

Let’s play a game: The Gokaiger adaptation isn’t season two of Megaforce, it’s a brand new series with a brand old cast. The six Rangers are all returning characters from previous Ranger teams, gathered together to face off against the most powerful evil ever. But which six Rangers? That’s where this tournament comes in.

We’re going to cast this team with the very best Red Ranger, very best Pink Ranger, very best Blue Ranger, very best Yellow Ranger, very best Grack/Bleen Ranger, and very best Sixth Ranger.

The current team consists of:

Red Ranger: Carter Grayson
Yellow Ranger: Lily Chilman
Blue Ranger: TJ Johnson
Pink Ranger: Jen Scotts

The rules are simple: the Rangers of each color fight it out to see which one stands at the top of their personal section of the rainbow. The winners will be determined by popular vote, feel encouraged to explain your choices to help sway the undecided. Fights are all-out brawls – any power-up or weapon is permitted, short of the Zords.

Battles are decided by random selection and each character is represented for each of their colors (Rocky and TJ are in both Red and Blue, Tommy is in Red and Sixth, etc.). Rangers with multiple powers in the same color will be using the ones which are most unique to them (Adam is Zeo Green, Cassie is Space Pink, etc. – yes, this kinda shafts the Turbo Rangers, I know – all three Turbo fans are free to register their complaints). All major teams are represented, MMPR through Megaforce. Evil Rangers like the Psychos and A-Squad - as well as one-shot Rangers like Cat or SPD Red Bridge - are excluded.

So the last round was a bit of a landslide. Let's move on to our first semi-final match. It's another battle of the fan favorites as we match up everyone's favorite second-in-command and everyone's favorite... I think he may have outranked the toaster.

Will Adam put the Johnny Yong Kibosh on Ziggy's hopes (yes, I know - but I love that wordplay so much I'm using it twice)? Will Ziggy shut Adam down harder than a busted morpher? Which Ranger will reign supreme?

As stated before, Johnny Yong Bosch wanted Adam to die in a blaze of glory long ago.

It doesn't make sense for Adam to return if his actor wishes that the character had died in a badass battle.

Voted for Ziggy, but I know nostalgia will make Adam win. :(

They're both some of my favorite rangers. I ended up picking Ziggy.

That Nostalgia Critic reference though. :lol

I think Ziggy's own popularity will balance things out a bit.

Honestly though? Adam could kick the crap out of Ziggy so easily. It's nowhere near a fair fight. :lol

Unless Adam is tired and wants to sleep. In the poetic sense. As an analogy for eternal rest.

Because Johnny Yong Bosch wants the character to die in a blaze of glory.

And if Tommy is the experienced warrior who wants to keep fighting no matter what, Adam is the other end of the spectrum: the warrior who has had enough of fighting and want it to end.

I'm voting for Adam.
But not for nostalgia.
I just don't like Ziggy.

I went with Ziggy because I believe he has the drive to win.

Yes he does, both them are two of my all time favorite rangers, it was tough but I went with Ziggy.

Adam. Its close but Adam is just a MUCH better fighter and has a heart as big if not bigger then Ziggys. Morphing with a broke morpher and once a ranger...come on!

What about Ziggy bonding with the Ranger Operator Series Green Morpher to make sure Venjix didn't obtain it, or stealing $5,000,000 worth of medical supplies from a bunch of cartels under whom he was employed just to support an orphanage? Heck, he left Corinth without telling anyone else what he did just so the orphanage wouldn't be targeted. Ziggy might not be much of a fighter, but his heart is larger than that of every other Ranger. When it seemed like he would die trapped within a cave with Dr. K., he took it upon himself to make her smile instead of giving in to despair. Keep in mind, he did all of that in his own series.

Heart larger then ANY ranger? Ehhh I dont know bout that seeming there still is Kendrix off the top of my head. Like I said it is ABSURDLY close but I think Adams morphing with a broken morpher to help Carlos easily trumps the whole Dr. K cave incident. I say how they were both trust into being rangers was pretty much a wash.

It is almost too even to call and regardless of who wins I will be happy. I just feel Adam will be a good addition with Lily to give the team great fighters with great heart, soul, and morals

I'm surprised Ziggy's losing. In fact, he's who I would've expected to win the whole division.

Ziggy, Tommy, Dillon, Adam, & Bridge were my favorites

Wow. Adam's winning? Not that I'm bitching, I love Adam. I don't like he's in as Zeo but I love Adam. I love him has MMPR Black more than I ever did Zack, so I can't be mad at that. Just.. Damn, Ziggy's losing?

Loving how close this is. Talk about two characters who couldn't be more opposite, yet both have their supporters as well as reaosnable arguments to be made for their inclusion. This one will come down to the wire.

This is why I've really been looking forward to this division: there are so many good Rangers in this pool that it's hard to really pick just one that's so clearly better than all the others. Especially coming out of the Jen division it's nice to have all of these viable characters.

I picked Ziggy because Adam is cool but I really just like him because JYB. Ziggy I like because Ziggy. He was part of the mafia, y'know.

We need more Ziggy support. Quick, to the Incentive Machine!

1. The Prototype Ranger Series Covert Infantry Bio-Suit Series Green allows Ziggy to teleport to and from any location at any time so long as he has the focus and the suit has the necessary energy reserves. By the end of the series, Ziggy is able to use this power effectively. Furthermore, the Turbo Axe is larger and more powerful than the Power Hatchets.

2. Ziggy has proven himself to be incredibly brave, stealing $5,000,000 worth of medical supplies from not one, not two, but six cartels just to support an orphanage, banishing himself from humanity's last safe haven to ensure that no one else ever learned what he did for that orphanage in an effort to protect it. Adam only participated in a martial-arts tournament for an orphange.

Sadly though, Ziggy lost. :cry

Indeed. By a very narrow margin Adam will move on as our first finalist.

Now to decide who'll be the second.
